Barab83,

Rangers' official website has now become tabloid-esque.Some of their fans are believing the guff being spouted from INSIDE Ibrox.Never before have their club felt the need, to wash their laundry in view the public eye...until now!

Makes you wonder, eh

barab - utd wanted 2m. He went for 2.8m plus. If you cant see that theres a difference there then i worry for you.

Sure does Titanic, its amazing how many theories they seem to come out with when they dont get their own way, a very strange set of people. I suppose they need to be seen to blame everyone else for their unprofessional conduct.

Listen, you lot are missing the elephant in the room here.

Or, perhaps I should say gorilla.

Clubs will be reluctant to deal with a club that cannot give foolproof assurances that they will not default on payment installations in 6, 12 months time.

This may not be the only reason, but is one of the factors of constraint for McCoist just now.

United wanted £2M UP FRONT

Add ons were up for negotiation depending on which club the player wanted to go to.

It's no' barab that has the problem - it's YOU!!!

Craig Whyte is Calum Melville in disguise mate - Beware! The tax man cometh!!!

posted on 4/8/11

yeah, cos 2.8m and 2m are the same.

Hey barab, you dont do loans, do you?

I fancy a bit of that.

I give up

cyber - utd said they valued him at 2m. No mention of upfront initially. He then went for 2m upfront AND 800k in add ons AND a sell on fee.

That is NOT what utd orig quoted.

elite.....
United did say they wanted £2m, but were offered more, only an idiot would not accept a higher offer!!!

if you were selling a car, advertised it for £2000 and someone like it so much they offered you £2800, someone else offered £2000, who would you sell it to?

Its not rocket science!!!!!!

Heh barab,we're bitter? Who was flingin missiles on our last visit up there?

comment by Barab83 (U1858)

posted on 4/8/11

Not me, throwing missiles is something I have never done, but I have been on the recieving end on many time at ibrox, Tannadice and Hampden when we have been pelted by coins etc and bus windows broken, so dont go down that road, just admit it, you lot cant take it when things dont go your way!!!

why did blackburn offer 2.8m when they could have got him for 2m?

Common sense tells you, utd asked for that.

Im fully aware you would accept highest offer.

They did offer £2m, the rest of the deal is add ons based on performance etc.

And you know that United asked for more because:-

1. you heard down the pub
2. your mate told you
3. its a figment of your fertile imagination

I would go for number 3.

Common sense!!!!
please go and find some.

"burnleyarab, look at the first paragraph from BarcelonaNil a few posts above and tell me if you still think he was referring to a comment by a Rangers fan"

It was a comment by a Rangers fan.

I know, brilliant isn't it? We got even more than we were initially asking for.

Is there any reason we shouldn't have raised our price when we realised what others were willing to pay?

Let me guess "because it's pure no fair on Rangers"

Let it go.

Rangers bid around the 2 million up front did they not?

pete houston said bids were the same but rangers add ons were not as good on sunday and that was before 2 more bids on monday apparently

if they don't want to sell to us then fine.if i was them i would prefer hi to go to england

if goodwillie really wanted to come to us he would have told dundee utd he wasn't going to blackburn and i'm pretty sure dundee utd would have sold him to us if the bids were similar

i think he will be lucky to get 5 goals in that league he's not a bad player but i think you have to be better than him to play and score a lot of goals in that league

barcanil - of course utd can change their mind and get more money. I responded to an arab saying if gers had paid their 2m in the 1st place, we would have got him. All i said was utd moved the goalposts. Which you then admit they did. Whats the problem?

comment by Barab83 (U1858)

You still wouldn't have got him,

HE DIDN'T WANT TO SIGN FOR YOU.

yawn

Wouldn't that suggest that, Blackburn moved the goal posts

eh, no!

There isn't a problem, we are absolutely delighted with the deal and I have no complaints whatsoever.

I suppose the obvious question is "what are you moaning about?".

posted on 8/8/11

was just stating fact. Utd moved the goalposts, which after i slowly explained to you arabs, you now agree with me.

At last.

Not really, your evidence was that he went for 2.8 and we had asked for 2.

We asked for 2 up front as a minimum and that's what we got. Rangers didn't produce that til it was too late.

No doubt we'd have moved the goalposts if we'd had to, but it turns out Rangers are such a shambles nowadays that we didn't have to.

Happy days.
