I'd buy him too. No question great champ player given a run in the team and played with the right support from midfield.

I have to be honest and say I'm not bothered either way. If Rhodes can score 30 goals (or however many he scored) for a struggling Blackburn, then how many would he have scored for us in Sharp's place?

If we sign him then we'd better have wingers for next season, even if that means losing a few of our midfield "stars" to accomodate them.

Yeah but that's the reason Rhodes went for £8m and Sharp would probably go for £1-2m.

Can't say I'd be massively bothered if we didn't sign him. I'm fairly sure there are much more prolific strikers we could bring in. I've seen Grant Holt's name mentioned. Would much rather have him back (for example) than Sharp.

With the right delivery though Sharp could be that 20 goal a striker we have been looking for as he still got 12 last season (feels weird to say last season now )

The good thing is though is I think we have first pick as in we have agreed a deal with Southampton I think when we brought him in on loan so can decide if want to keep him.

Just hope that the rumours about Sharp not starting regularly was due to fitness though and not anything more then that

Hmm, depends if we have other options. Is his heart in it? Saints won't want to keep him but there will be other teams in this league that would take him.

Want him back. The type of player we need in our team and not against us.

Caniggia is right, depends what our options are. We will need four strikers. I would like to buy a pacey striker who will be able to score in the EPL if we get there (as would any other club) with Dex, Cox, and Billy making up the quartet. I Dont rate Henderson, I'd rather give Miller another go if we cant offload him

Al, He scored 3 during AMc's short time with us, I think he scored in the first game after SOD got the boot.

I actually think Henderson and Sharp would make a fair partnership, as long as our midfield stopped operating a shoot on sight policy.

I think Billy left him out due to fitness but have no idea how reliable that rumour is, but it would seem weird that he would sign him if he didn't rate him. I agree we need a pacy striker or at least 2 pacey wingers to compensate but wingers are a must this summer as well as some shoring up of the defence!

Sharp would be a great way to start the summer transfers off though and i would rather have him here then some team like Fester snatching him up and then him going on a scoring spree!

I think the problem for Sharp this past season, was that none of the midfield really built up an understanding with him.

The closest we got was between him and Raddi..then we lost Raddi to injury.

If he signed with us though then I hope that would answer both questions, and if Sharp really wants to have a chance at the PL then one of his best options must be us as i cannot see a PL team coming in for him to be the 1st team striker and at Forest at least we will be trying to gain promotion there next year, which if he delivers next year would give him a good chance of playing in the PL (well i hope anyway )

Also on a side note Cardiff do want Lewis in-case anyone didn't know according to JP, which I don't know what to think of as he is clearly a talent, but he hardly ever uses it!

I've heard that Cardiff want to offer McGugan a contract, so it's likely that he'll be off as soon as he gets back from his holiday.
