He says that was a joke
----
of course it was. everything he says is a joke
If he is talking about finishing position in the league.he's correct, but the big question has to be what are you doing listening to that prize ?
hopefully there will be a few spurs fans calling up to put him right, but not too many.. dont want them wasting their money
A former Spurs player (I think) pulled him up about that Chronic, and he said it was a joke. It might have been hyperbole, but it's obvious he didn't think we'd do as well as we did when Harry was sacked.
I think he is chickens real identity
groovy
I guess I just wanted to hear Durham make a t!t out of himself.
durham is just upset avb did better than he thought he would do. he has had this agenda with him ever since he has been at chelsea
I don't think there's much in it and i think AVB has done a good job but you have to say we were a better team last year. We had quality all over the pitch and no reliance on one player. For me the record points tally is entirely down to the individual brilliance of Bale. Without his late goals i think it's fair to say we would have dropped at least 12-15 points this season. Last season Modric was great, VDV was great, Bale was great but there wasn't an over reliance on any of them. We really need to buy someone creative in the middle, like a Moutinho and a decent striker. We've got the quatity, not the quality.
In short, we were better last season.
Chronic
Durham is also a big fan of Arry which probably adds fuel to the fire. He was always going to be of the mindset that nobody would do as good a job as Arry.
fridgeboy
Don't forget we had Adebayor having a good last season too, which we haven't had this season. Another thing working against AVB, just as Bale's improvement worked for him.
I wish people would stop listening. You're the audience he wants and he does it well.
Doovde I've never called up and never want to call up though, so not quite the audience he wants. Surely their target audience are those gullible enough to do so?

Bale plays for spurs though, so i dont understand what that has to do with anything?
its like saying Real Madrid only do what they do because they have Ronaldo, when that is irrelevant because Ronaldo plays for them !
"Liverpool are only good because of Suarez" - so, they have suarez, he plays for them, and hes good, therefore he is good for them.
Chelsea fans will tell you they have been reliant on Mata this season
Take RVPs goals out of man u's side and things look a bit different.
that really is such a weak argument..bale plays for spurs, is part of the team, therefore if he is much stronger, then so to is the team. if other players have fallen away (e.g. ade) to balance off bale's brilliance then that too counts, as they are all part of the team.
So we are all equal, but some of us are more equal than others, but if we are in a team that's ok.
Bit like communism.
no groovy. the lazy argument is that if you take out bale then we finish mid table, when the reality is no one has any idea what would happen if we had lost bale for lots of the season.
infact in the games bale didnt play in, we pretty much continued scoring at the same rate (roughly 2 a games), as the games he did score in.
i cast my mind back to everton at home, when we seemed to play a 4-3-3 and were looking very good going forward at times.
You're my favourite chronic

This. Although I'm pretty sure we wouldn't end up in mid-table. I think we'd be a few places worse off. However what people don't seem to understand when they say that without Bale we'd be mid-table, is that someone would be playing in Bale's place. They seem to think that no Bale literally means there'd be only 10 Spurs players playing.
