yep the first game is nearly here. might havr a few pre season cans of stella tonight while i sort out my betting on the laptop! anyone who wants to come round let me know. have a bez on fifa while were at it too.!
Your starting late Tez with them Pints!
inter... not had a drink last 3 nights. im doing well lol. been working tho last 3 nights after work. dont forget ur purse tomorrow!
may not be sorting betting as laptops farked aparently just been informed. sick of sending the thing away for repair!
I've been hearing that for the last few days Inter, Wednesday are apparently looking like favourites to sign Benik. I'd be mightily pi$$ed off if they do after he said we'd be his first choice league one club last season. He's my favourite Town player in a long time and I let all my Wednesday mates know so I won't hear the end of it if he moves to them!
Yeah I'd be pretty gutted if he went there too, but is it a small step backwards for him? Everyone is tipping us as favourites, but yet Wendies are getting him before us!
Tez get ya bets on tomorrow before game!
Tez ! I too am having a few tonight wih my mates and also will be online if you play live ?
Its hard to pick out the accumulators so early in the season as there is no form but I quite fancy Hull, Hudds & Man City in a treble...UTT
I've known this for a few days [hence the "Afobe" posts] but I didn't think it would actually happen, now the Yorkshire Post are reporting that he's signed for the season with them as well. Seriously, I'm massively pi$$ed off at this, how have we let this happen if it's true!?
Maybe it's because Megson is renowned at playing attractive Football
Maybe it's because he has impressive football knowledge and can see who the bigger club is.
Maybe he can get them above such minnows as Exeter and Huddersfield then with his superior knowledge!
We shall see
He was okay was Afobe, but he did miss a laod of gobbers for us.
Besides, we have a new style for this season with our vibrant and skillfull midfielders, the days of a lone striker running round like a headless chicken is SO last season.
Inter
they've been offering tickets for the V festival really cheap on Seatwave. I keep getting emailed
The line up is a little too "pop" this year for some folk to take in, but there is some quality there still if you dig deep enough!
When did Afobe ever run around like a headless chicken? How dare you compare someone as good as him to Duracell Novak! Every run the lad made either offered an outlet for us to give him the ball [and he actually kept it] or created space for someone else, he was a heck of a player and did the job he was asked to do brilliantly. He didn't miss a bucketload of chances like people make out, he just missed a few which were easy - Notts County first half, playoff first leg when he took it down in the box and rushed it, playoff final which was not an easy chance on the turn. People forget his 2 great solo goals at Brighton, his important goal at Tranmere, the goals he set up for Rhodes [check his assists stats] and his all round exceptional play away from home when he was asked to do the job of someone with far more experience than he has. Playing the football we should be playing this season, the lad would easily outscore any of our strikers [look at his career goalscoring record] and would tear this league a new one.
Wenger won't let Afobe anywhere Lee Clark.
Coming to Town and having to suffer the Alien hoofball tactics was a massive backward step for Benik and has not helped his development.

If Afobe is to Ferrari, then Novak is to Milk Float.
FFS, Afobe's played at all levels for England except Full and was an ever present in the England U17 Euro Championships, scoring important goals along the way.
Novaks claim to fame......... Oh, he once scored 18 goals in half a season for Gateshead
Rather that than go unbeaten over 30 games or however many, than losing the only one that mattered at Old Trafford

Or be third at Xmas and fade away badly????
He didn't score at OT...so it was all pointless in the end.
I agree that if we are going to play proper footy this time, then Afobe wud prob be more prolific, but LC blew it and left him going back to Arsenal knackered and injured...while t'other forwards were sat on the bench week after week.
God, I hope he has sorted something out for this season...like tactics.
Not really, as we wouldn't have gone up with other teams performing the way they did.
Would that be other "smaller" teams??
Size means nothing and you know it!
Would you rather.....
A, beat United twice and get relegated?
B, lose to United and go up?
finally some banter on our boards haha. sheff wednesday will be a laugh a minute again this season they wont cut it with the big boys like town and mk dongs! another easy 6 points.. afobe or no afobe
Lose to United and go up no doubt
