Silly boy, you should have watched him 10 years ago.
Taking into account your dislike for 'rolling around', you don't rate Ronaldo, Maradona, Messi or all the others in the game who do the same?
silly boy , Messi , Maradona and Ronaldo do extraordinary thing on the pitch.
As for Totti , the only extraordinarirly annoying thing he does is when he sucks on that thumb of his when he scores a goal.
Average player. End of
Totti is more of a 'last generation' player for a start in the same way Del Piero and Beckham are/were. Totti was in his peak over a decade ago. Not sure the OP was old enough to see much of Totti back in the days of Gazetta Soccer Italia on the weekends
He was a brilliant player in his prime. A one club man in his senior career too, even though a host of clubs were in for him at one point or another.
He may display some traits that annoy you, but you are either judging by some unrealistic high standards, have never really seen much of him play, or know little about football.
By bet is actually on all three of those points.
average players dont score over 200 goals in serie a, especially not between the late 90's and the mid 00's when serie a was one of, if not the strongest league in europe
It's like when people on here disrepect ryan giggs because of his performances of late.
you all clearly haven't watched the serie A for the last , oh let's say , 10 years!!
You still remember the Totti of yesteryear and even back then he still was nowhere near the likes of Delpiero , Pirlo , Di canio and many others.
idiots
Totti is a "Genius" model pro and best of all Loyal
Well done Totti for your contribution to Italian football
"Legend" England can only dream of such a player, even the overrated Rooney couldn't tie Totti's boots.

you've clearly only been alive for around oh lets say 10 years
Del Piero and Baggio closely followed by Totti. 3 absolute quality Italian number 10's
How you can see Di Canio is/was better than Totti is mental
Di Canio wasn't in the same class as Totti. Pirlo has had a renaissance, but has played in an entirely different position to Totti. Del Piero was a superb player, and better than Totti.
I honestly can't see how you have formed your opinion, unless it is as I have stated earlier: you know little about football.
The only other reason I can see for you making statements like your op, is that you didn't think it through, and you were hoping for someone to agree with you because Totti rolls around (like many other players), and is, well, Italian?
I respect Totti for staying with Roma through out his career and it's harsh to judge him on what he plays like now due to his age and the quality of the Roma side maybe isn't what it used to be.
That said i do remember watching him 10-15 years ago on Gazetta Football Italia and thinking that he was vastly overrated, if he was this mercurial genius he would have made more of an impact on the international stage, in europe and Italy's other big clubs would have came sniffing for him (moving between big clubs isn't as big of a deal in Italy as it is in britain take Vieri, Pirlo, Baggio etc).
Tottis problem was that for every 9/10 performance and wonder goal he would then proceed to make little to no impact during the next 3-4 games, he just wasn't consistent enough to be placed up there with the likes of Baggio, Van Bastan or (Brazilain) Ronaldo in the Serie Ahall of fame.
OP is uneducated about Totti.
My fondest Totti memory of Totti was sitting in the pub with wifey watchin Italy vs Australia in 2006. Late late penalty. He steps up bangs it in
He struggles in his Roma team as they have had no real class players for years other than De Rossi
Di Canio better than Totti!
Di Canio was a crap Italian player that couldn't cut it in Serie A and hence never got a call up to the national team.
Just because he stood out in poor premier league teams in a league lacking skill does not put him anywhere near Totti's level.
Totti is a marvellous player.
The OP is clearly a banned user on a new account. People like this are the sole reason I don't trust any poster beyong U17000...
The U17000 generation of ja606 posters are by and large complete nitwits and predominantly banned users on new accounts.
nitwits never thought i'd hear you use that word flash
I went to see my parents earlier and my dad called me one... must have got stuck in my head because i dont think i've ever used it before
HOWEVER, I like it
Totti was one of my favourite players in the Serie A for a few years, in the 2000-2005 period he was class and I was somewhat hoping we would go in for him. His link up play was excellent.
Yes he isn't the player he used to be, however he's getting on now, he's what? 36/27?
