You are right about the 442, but on the bright side i assume most wolves fans would consider him better than Griffiths so he would easily score 30 plus at Celtic if Griffiths(who wasn't good enough for us) can do that for a far weaker Hibs side.

Hooper has been an excellent goalscorer for Celtic so they dont need someone similar. Someone like Doyle playing alongside him would make them a much stronger all round team both in the SPL and Champions League. Can't believe Celtic would not be willing to pay £2.5m for a player of Doyle's quality given the money they must be raking in from the Champions League

He is under contract, and therefore subject to a transfer fee. He has drawn attention over the past few seasons, and so 2.3 Million must be a reasonable fee.

Not sure about the finances in Scottish football so don't know whether 2.3 million is the kind of fee that Celtic would pay. If not Celtic, then I would guess that Wolves wouldn't be short of offers for Doyle at around that price.

I reckon our need to get Doyler off the wage bill will far exceed that of another club for a striker that gets into double figures once per decade.

Of course we want a fee. Why wouldn't we?
