The lady was just looking for laughs and the admins comment was just showing pure favourtism

But seriously, how many articles over the past week have been that stupid Arsene Wenger Eagle Lookalikes? Is it because there's so little to talk about that we've resorted to reposting the same old crap, or has posting it become a meme now in the same way that parodying an article's title over a string of articles becomes one about once a month on the Arsenal board?

Agree Penguin. Season is over and that make it difficult to find new interesting topics which maybe end that some stuff is repetitive. For the excuse of some posters here they dont even look back of what was published already.

To keep all the "uninteresting" stuff from the board, Penguin I use the Arsenal thread. That is why I am interested to be on it.

There's nowt wrong with trying to make something funny. Some of my favourite things about this and the old 606 were the wums and joke threads.

I generally liked the style... it was completely different and was a nice foil to the bravado you get on here. and like admin says it wasnt lol lal nonsense nor did it try to poke fun at anyone else

The the quality of the Arsenal board is defined by what is posted on it. We possibly hold our hands up in that we protected the rest of the site from Arsenal posters/wums of dubious quality(im being polite) but what probably followed was that they got confined to wrecking and infighting on articles on their own board. Which is one of the reasons we are content at the recent mutual parting company of some posters.

@Admin1 and @Admin2 - can't you just have two Arsenal boards, one for serious talk and one for immaturity? Then take a hard stance and ban people from the serious board if they are regularly being idiots?

I agree this would not be in the 606 style, but it would solve a lot of problems without having to resort to permanently banning people and it would improve the overall impression of this site.

JJG's stuff was good and again had serious effort and though in it(more than most). OK some might have got tired of it, but they should have just skipped his articles. Those having cheap shots and digs could have just kept quiet.

Completly agree with you Admin. Look at what Lady posted, it probably took 100x more effort to write that than 99% of the articles nowadays.

And CLS is right in that lady probably lead to copycats trying to be 'funny' as well, we all know how that turned out

Yeah, Lady quit but I would welcome him back because I miss his articles, so do many other users.

I very much doubt it would work, the WuMs do this for attention and they'd all just post on the 'serious' Arsenal board because they'd see it as an act of bravado.

Peterbaey's account was never closed. I was content to part ways with HK and in no rush for the sake of the site and Arsenal board.
