No, but he's better at what he does at united than both which is protecting the back four and getting the moves started...Gerrard and lampard are your goal scoring midfield players hence why carrick with one or both is a very good midfield with a good balance.....and yes carrick is a very good player full stop

Still believe that Gerard and Lampard who are both wc players should be starting ahead of Carrick.
Carrick is good that I agree but just because he is English , he is being slightly overrated.
He has been good for Manchester United but that is because of his excellent teamates who have been carrying him since his debut.
Carrick is 31 years old and he is a his peak but certainly to good enough to start ahead of these 2

I will agree on that, some of the greatest ever players to play in England hardly got a club medal between them, Tom Finney, Bobby Moore, Stanley Mathews, etc.
