If Abromovich pulls out he won't just walk away with £1bn out of pocket
So if Abramovich pulled out you'd probably be looking at Chelsea folding in a few years then???
FFP more to do with the amount of money your club makes and how much you spend relative to that?
The only way is if another super rich investor agreed to pay it off for him. Basically Abramovich can't just walk away as he would lose nearly £1b

Exactly, whereas in about 3-5 years time we should start churning out a profit so he won't be losing anymore as our revenue etc is increasing year on year, although a new stadium would help us massively hence why he attempted to make the move.
Not that Roman would sell/walk anyway, he's a chelsea fan and so is his son who will likely take over when Roman passes

Depends who the next owner will be IF Abromovich decides to call it a day.

Does Roman even own SB? Or is it owned by a chelsea fan club? Forgot their name

But when he came all we heard from opposition fans was money couldn't buy success
CPO own the pitch I believe.
Whats to stop any other billionaire coming along and doing the same as Abramovic?
I like Roman

"whilst Liverpool (for example) are showing net debts of £87m, that could be eradicated instantly by selling Suarez and Carroll (in theory)"
Not sure you'd get £86m for Suarez.

"Spurs are still owed something like £22m of the Modric fee from Real Madrid......................................."
I wouldn't hold your breath, I'm fairly sure we're still owed a few quid for Anelka.

The 1billion spent on Chelsea by Roman is quite staggering no matter how you look at it.
Abramovic won't walk away from Chelsea for a looong time, it's wishful thinking.

Chelsea keeps Roman out of the Gulag and above ground.
He's not going anywhere.
He's not in it to make money though Anfield

If the FFP rules are to be taken seriously then surley Chelsea must start paying Roman back?
He has 10 billion, a billion to him is about £10,000 to us, he wanted to own a football club and he became a fan of the football club, it's a passion for him and he has never shown any signs of being in it for the money and he probably couldn't give a crap
