I wouldn't agree that he excels in the 10 to 17m market. Sturridge and Coutinho have started well but the rest of his signings have haven't worked (yet).
Getting players in that price range is all well and good but as long as the top 4/5 keep outspending us then breaking into the top four is fantasy.
