he will get close to his goal scoring record
----------------------
He will get nowhere near it.
seems a good lad though
He's a nice bloke too by all accounts.
Bale copyrights a goal celebration he didn't even invent and Theo eschews all wedding presents and asks for donations to the Willow Foundation.
For anyone interested - http://www.willowfoundation.org.uk/Home
He's been at the club since 06, and hasn't even hit the 100 goal mark yet. If he, say stays for 5 years, scoring 20, he'll hopefully overtake that at Old Trafford.

Oh yes, he will. He'll get to 100 goals in the next 2 seasons, he's already on about 60.
Should surpass RVP at least
how do we reckon his wife felt about refusing the wedding presents?

Think if she wanted anything, Theo MIGHT be able to afford to get it her.

the point of gifts especially at a wedding is not the actual product but the sentiment
"i donated 100 quid in your name" is not the same
"P.S he will never be Henry"
=====================
You got that bit right
Marriage is for idiots, there's nothing in it for men except to have the Sword of Damocles over your head - but in Theo's case he is so rich it doesn't really matter.

So you're saying there's no sentiment to making a donation to a worthy cause? For Theo, that's clearly the sentiment he wanted! Most of us wouldn't ask that because we're not earning the kind of money he is to be able to buy whatever present we want but he is. Personally, I think that that's a fantastic gesture and wish more of these celeb types (or high earners) did the same thing!
If he wanted to donate to charity why not do it quietly and anonymously.
It's probably a way for Theo to not have to put in his apartment crap he doesn't want from wedding guests!
Marriage is for idiots who wanna destroy their lives
"If he wanted to donate to charity why not do it quietly and anonymously."
Even if he wanted to, do you think the press would have respected that? It's essentially a celeb wedding so they'll want all the details to sell their silly magazines!
