United side of 99 was better than the invincibles. Having said that, that Arsenal team was a great team.

Bergkamp wasn't that much. I would put him on par with Jay Jay Okocha.
Fancy touches and skills but nothing else.

Bergkamp instigated arsenal's bottle culture, it started with his pen in the fa cup semi at villa pk 99, then went on to aeroplanes, and before you know it, it spread through the whole club like a bout of the $hits, leading them to where they are now

Exactly. I can name at least 10 player in his position who I would have ahead of him in the PL

Did your "invincibles" win the CL? No.

Porto of last year is better than the invincibles.

United's treble winners can more than certainly beat our invincibles in a one-off game or cup tie but they certainly wouldn't win a league format competition over that side. That's why I don't rate them as highly. They had one of those freakish fairy tale seasons.

Wayne & Robin

Please divulge as to who these supposed 10 players are that are better than Bergkamp in his position.

The unbeaten season doesnt give you anymore trophies. Ok its great what you did, but would you have preffered a CL and lost some games or have an unbeaten season with no CL?

Arsenal 03/04

I rate the Arsenal side very highly, but I do think Chelsea went on to get a better record throughout the season.

May be bias, but the 99 United team would be the best P.L side to have existed so far.

United 99 scored more goals, won more trophies, lost less games than the arsenal team of 03/04

United of 08 scored more, conceded less, won more trophies than arsenal 03/04

Dunc

Going to have to do some work today, so will have to sit this one out.

I am sure you can handle the usual cretins like 8bit.

Sheriff

Utter nonsense
We had the finest midfield ever in the premier league with beckham, scholes, keane and giggs. With 4 top strikers rotated for a premier league campaign and probably the finest gk in prem history in schmeichel. Saying they certainly wouldn't win a league campaign is laughable and ludicrous.

Lesthered, in the invincible season that team wouldn't of even made the top 3.

Another Arsenal fool to add to 8bit and RGK

If the invincibles were so good, why then did they not win the fa cup, or the champions league?

posted on 21/6/13

Contrary to popular belief...I believe our best side was the 07/08 side.

If not for a freakish result against Portsmouth in the FA Cup Semi we would have almost certainly won the treble.

Besides, in 99 we were very close to winning nothing.

Winning the title on the last day, that Bergkamp pen miss, and the late comeback vs Bayern.

Although, that made it all the more special.

They were unbeaten in a league where lets face it, wasnt that great. We had Silvestre at centre back

If we had then it would've been bad for football as we would have been the undeniable GOAT.

We were close to winning nothing in 07/08 too.

Terry's penalty and we had to win at Wigan on the final day.

Haha sheriff what a plonker. Just admit your league invincibles weren't all that. You lost 7 (SEVEN) games that season. United lost 6 and won a champions league and fa cup as well as the league. You lot only won the league. Get over it

It's wouldn't "have".
Not to sound like a grammar natzi but wouldn't of makes absolutely no sense at all.
I have seen footballers like Owen, Rooney, Barton use such terms

They lost more games in that season than United did.

Silvestre was one of our best CBs at the time. That is how bad we were.
In fact 03/04 teams were in transition. No teams other than arsenal were decent
