Beckham was ridiculously overrated! All because of his free kicks and right foot... I'm glad he never won world footballer of the year, over players like Raul, Ronaldo, Zidane, Nedved.. Would have been a disgrace

Had Italy won that final Totti would have been a hero, he had a great tournament and a fine performance in the final.

It just wasn't meant to be for him.

By the way Hulk is terrible, Witsel is another one I don't get.

Cavani scores loads of goals in a league that is soo defensive that even top strikers to score 15 in a season is good.

Hulk isnt worth the money he is touted at. But he is still a very good player he is a good winger.

Ribery one of the key players in the strongest German side in history just won the CL, German League and I think they got the treble. He gets load of assists and goals and is good at tracking back. To be honest as a footballer he has little or no weaknesses in his game maybe discipline.

John Terry. Good defender, but often his defensive partners elevated him. Quite often under Mourinho Terry had Carvalho to his right along side him, and Gallas at LB. So Terry was sandwiched inbetween 2 quality defenders. Wasn't as good once Gallas left and has been terrible since Carvalho left.

Makelele - Great player but I don't understand people that claim he invented the defensive midfield role.

Gareth Barry what does he do?

I actually think Barry is quite an important player for City. Not amazing but does his job effectively.

Andy got there before me. Solid part of the midfield. He's the sort of player that allows the more technically astute players to be creative and forward-thinking.

I´m not sure I get Andy Carroll or why people get so excited about him.

He doesn´t really score any goals for a striker although I hear people get excited when he jumps up in the air or if he passes the ball a few yards in any particular direction.

He´s a big, strong lad though

Actually that is wrong. If you saw our defense when he was out for an extended period you will see it's actually Carvalho that struggles without JT, not the other way round.

To extent on that point Carvalho declined in his last two season's and both times dropping him for Alex saved our campaign's.

I don't get this myth that Terry needed Carvalho to look good, because it just simply wasn't true.

Hulk for sure. Pique, Neymar, Higuain, and Aguero!

People rave about Theo Walcott, but I still feel his end product is poor.

Exactly, but it gives the Terry-haters something to get excited about.

I totally agree about Ribery, he looks good when everythings going well for Bayern or France but when his team's up against it he goes missing, starts diving and whinging, not the mentality of a supposed top player.

The praise Phil Jones gets in the media astounds me if i'm being perfectly honest, I like him and think he will eventually go on to be a good centre back but not one of the best players in United's history or future England captain like people are suggesting now.

He doesn't have the positional sense or concentration to play centre back at the moment and isn't technically good enough to play in midfield. Smalling is a better player by a distance but doesn't get even half the praise Jones does, I wonder why?
