It's not even like Fed had a bad day there, he was just outplayed.
I'm a little concerned Murray may start to get complacent seeing his half or the draw.
Nah, he is obsessed, a thorough professional. Can't see a final without Murray now.
Cilic, Tsonga, Nadal & Federer all out from his half now. Surely a Murray/Nole final is odds on
But who knows at this Wimbledon, remarkable
Murray V Nole final has to be now. Surely?
Federer got beaten at his own game today. Far too reliant on serve and the Ukrainian hunk had his number
Diva - At this rate we'll have number 197 and 506 in the final
Great to see a bit of serve and volley tennis again. As great as the top 4 (and I don't mean Ferrer) are, it's always good to see the underdog prevail. You can't help but speculate what a great chance this gives to Murray, and with the likes of Berdych, Del Potro and even Raonic still in the top half, which is the tougher half now??!!
Great day of tennis
Best match was the one in the morning, Serve Volleying beat Hewitt too
Federer was being a bit of a trying to whack the ball at Stakhovsky when he could have won the point
Dustbin Brown is such a cool carrot
He's literally the least German looking chap ever
Federer down to 5th in the world now after that
Looks like youzhny could be the potential banana skin for Murray....followed by the winner of stakhovsky, melzer tie.
Let's hope they remove the actual banana skins from the courts so no one else gets injured.
Right lads, see ye tomorrow afternoon
and Dustin Brown has moved up 34 places & possibly more depending on his progress to 155.
Fed showed his true colours today
"When you play Federer at Wimbledon it's like you're playing two people," said Stakhovsky, "Federer and his ego.
from bbc.co.uk comments
'Federer is the most arrogant man in tennis, he's only humble cause hes used to winning.
Sore losing all his fake nice guy act is exactly that, thank god hes past it and old and slow.'
nice to see some people see Federer the way I have for a long time.
"dignified" in victory. Full of excuses in defeat
Mon Sergie the man
Was on centre yesterday, fed just had no answer to serve volleyer and consequently played wrong shots a surprising number of times.
I have huge respect for Fed but the longer he lingers the more his image gets watered down, I think he should bow out gracefully at ATP Finals.
Hopefully he doesn't do a Agassi and stay on to long.
