Murray is genuinely looking strong.
My only concern would be how he would handle a 5 setter as he is only just back from injury a few weeks.
Youzney is no mug, always gonna be tough.
Murray is pressuring him on every serve though.
Wow.......Murray kills it.
Showing power of the levels of nadal from the baseline these days.
Murray does have a tendacy to go on mid match slumps when he is in control, something he cant do against the big players.
He could afford it in the US open last year
Uh oh, Murray clearly injured.
Holding his left side hip and top of thigh.
Unlucky for Youzhny he can't offer anymore than that
Not lucky at all.
Plays big points better and not giving youzny an easy point......will run this set I expect........6-3.
Still worried now he will handle a longer match, likely djokovic.
Lucky as in he blew up in the middle of the set and had to claw his way back, which from a break up should never have been the case. Should have been a straight forward set.
Ahhhh that's tennis.....the good players pull it together at the big moments.
Needs to be Kore aggressive early though.
Sabine Lisicki v Kaia Kanepi
Li Na v Agnieszka Radwanska
Sloane Stephens v Mario Bartoli
Kirsten Flipkens v Petra Kvitova
Women's QF's...
I said Youzhny would give Murray a tough match, very solid player, thought he might nick a set
As expected, once the resistance is broken its all over.
Yeah, was impressive when he kept his concentration - suppose it can't be plain sailing for all 7 matches
Tricky match against Verdasco next
Verdasco was high ranking a while back.....i assume he suffered injuries to drop so low??
A clay court guy though, wasn't even gonna come here lol.
I remember Nadal played Verdasco at the semi final of the Australian a few years back and it was one of the best matches I had ever seen.
Verdasco then slipped off the radar, good to see him back
Desperately looking for slivers of hope against djokovic, ummmmmm he is huffing and puffing for air after long rallies......a Murray strength.

Worst Wimbledon since 2004
Not sure why you think that bubbles?
There is an argument that the quality drops when the best get beat, but the drama multiplies because of those defeats.
And frankly I don't care, being British I want Murray to win so every big name that drops, all the better.
