Perhaps a new club should be created on this board to accommodate those fans who are torn between Tottenham and West Ham. A hybrid club.
For example, West Ham Wannabees, Stratford Hotspur.

Maybe if you didnt create articles about Spurs ALL THE TIME then you wouldn't get Spurs posters frequenting your board so much.
Just a thought.

Olympic Dreamers suit them best..
So, you're allowed to post on the Arsenal & Chelsea board. But no one is allowed on the West Ham board, gotcha.

Visit and Post have same meaning in your dictionary then?
I'm assuming you only know people are visiting your board because of the posts How else would you A) Know people were here, and B) Know they were Spurs fans.
So yes, in this instance, visiting and posting are likely to be similar things.

A) Look at the top left of each and every article..
B) By filtering the ip address who visited particular article they could in effectively tell who visited which article..
Not the brightest in the class, are you?

I never posted on Gaelic boards because I am not a Gaelic football fan...
You're referring to article views thing, right. I hope you know that those aren't necessarily unique views. Unless there really are that many lurkers without accounts on here. Not to mention, a lot of people just use the 'football' board and click through from there. far easier than clicking through to a team board
Maf, I misread your second point, I'd assumed you thought the 100s of fans coming here were mostly Spurs fans
I'd rather not be drawn in to petty insults Maf. You don't need insults to debate.

You were right initially where visiting and posting are separate points. Like I say, I assumed the views were interwined with posts, which turned out to be incorrect.
As for answers to your question - Your board is visited so many times because it will occasionally have an article created, which shows in the 'football' board. It isn't necessarily people just coming to the West Ham board. I generally don't actually check which team's board it has been posted on.
I'd rather not be drawn in to petty insults Maf. You don't need insults to debate.

I didn't insult you in any form on this article..if I unknowingly did then
This article is written in response to one particular poster " we are here because someone/somebody said something somewhere" excuse.
And Admins are not bothered to answer my questions..
Not the brightest in the class, are you
---
Don't worry about it. It does seem slightly hypocritical to want to know how long Spurs posters spend on your board, whilst you appear to spend the majority of your time outside the West Ham board
Most effort than it is worth to go trawling through stuff like that.
This article is written in response to one particular poster " we are here because someone/somebody said something somewhere" excuse.

And that comment was from me, which was posted on a Spurs related article, on the West Ham board.
The article text is this:
"I'll donate £100 to Bobby Moore's cancer trust if West Ham DON'T win the same or more number of trophies than Tottenham Hotspur in the next season...
Any takers from tin pot lane?"
And you're wondering why you have got Spurs posters posting on it....
Jay: The purpose of Maf's article is to highlight the fact that the West Ham board is usually inundated with articles and comments from the same Tottenham fans.
No one is suggesting that our board ought to be the sole refuge of West Ham fans. Quite the opposite. Without non-West Ham fans, it'd be pretty desolate.
But it's one thing to spend the majority of your time outside your own board visiting a range of other boards. It's another thing to spend the majority of your time on a particular board other than your own.
Don't worry about it. It does seem slightly hypocritical to want to know how long Spurs posters spend on your board, whilst you appear to spend the majority of your time outside the West Ham board.

Is that "not the brightest in the class" comment is a personal insult?
1) Do you have any concrete proof that I spend (appeared to) more time on other board(s)?
2) You are completely missing the point here. There are very few West Ham fans on this board. Yet, we have plenty have hits for each and every article, irrespective of whether they belonged to West Ham or not - why?
You don't find this on Swansea, Reading, Villa or West Brom.
I'm not saying you offended me Maf, but it is an insult. You made your point well enough without it.
Your last few articles & comments would appear to indicate you spending time on another team's board. I can see why you would, there really isn't a lot going on in here. Personally I can't see the problem with people commenting on articles from other boards, though I guess if the Spurs fans wind you up, it's a little different. I'm not sure how much they post on other articles on say the Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea board
There are very few articles created by those clubs, and of those that are created, very few concern other teams. For example - This article was labelled Admins, that is why I looked. If this had been on the Swansea or Villa board, I'd have still looked.
I guess some people just have more of an opinion about your club than other clubs. Who knows.
and if it had been labelled 'West Ham sign 'unnamed player x', I'd have probably avoided it, like I have avoided other club's transfers.
"Your last few articles & comments would appear to indicate you spending time on another team's board."
I haven't denied and I won't.
"I can see why you would, there really isn't a lot going on in here. "
Exactly. Without any activity, why there are so many hits for each and every article? I am genuinely intrigued.
"Personally I can't see the problem with people commenting on articles from other boards,"
Neither do I....But, some Spurs fans don't like my presence on their board.
I hope i haven't insulted you this time...
Admins please answer before I press complain button, time and time again..
Nope, you haven't. Things such as the Carroll transfer were big news for all involved. Though I can't speak for the views on the older articles, the amount of comments on articles specifically related to your club tend to be on the low side.
It is usually articles such as the £100 bet article, or articles tagged on multiple boards that generate the traffic on the West Ham board. i don't think it is strictly accurate to suggest that you get 100s of views on every article. No doubt a lot of traffic is also made up of those just browsing through 'football'.
Virtually every article gets views, regardless of the clubs tagged.
