Get Clarke early and we are on top.
Brilliant - told myself I would stay up til next wicket - had visions of being up all night.
The Aussies will have a hard time ignoring Broad now
LUNCH
Aus 71-2 off 25 overs
Time for a sneaky nap
I'm away to my bed too - night. Later.
Broad is a good bowler now..
And not broad removes warner.. aussies 4 down.
reckon england will have more than a few overs to bat themselves today
Went to bed when we lost the toss....woke up and went x30 in between balls on the Sky+ to catch up....6 down!!!
Why didn't I stay up?!!
Praying the Batphone doesn't ring now! I want to see this through to stumps!!
Really hoping Broady gets another. He'll be so smug holding that ball up to the cat-calling Aussie crowd
Courier Mail
Decided to boycott Broads name in their paper and still post his photo on the front page
W&R
Broad will absolutely revel in the pantomime villain role. I hope they keep up the abuse
Need Haddin out soon now. Always capable of a score and the last thing we need here is an air of respectability to the score line!
Agreed champers gotta really turn the screw now......try not to let ANY Aussie build any sort of confidence.
You keep booing broady if it makes him play like this......!!!!
This partnership is starting to irk me now, especially that moustachioed ponce Johnson hitting over the top. COME ON ENGLAND
Still, I'd have taken 200/6 any day having lost the toss on this wicket
England have had a pretty good day, but Australia will be well pleased to be nearing 300 despite none of their top order scoring many. I will wait to see if this pitch is really a belter like all the English commentators seem to think it is after England have batted. I think they may well get a bit of a surprise when England come out to bat.
England's day but good fight back from the Aussies at the end. Excellent bowling from Broad.
This is a 450+ wicket for me, especially batting first. Clarke must have been licking his lips when the toss was won...imagine he's feeling pretty gutted right now.
If Cook and Carberry get starts this one could be a hammering for the hosts.
