Evening Lads
Was delighted when I checked the score this morning to see that Australia were 8 down, top stuff from our bowlers on a good batting wicket. Let's hope for more of the same, knock over the final couple early doors then get Cooky and Carbs out there to set up camp.
Anyone else staying up tonight?!
And me
Good to see a lass into cricket kitty
My mrs watched it all last night,I made it to tea
Hi Paul, as you know I'm not an expert but I've always been into sport especially when I was younger, - I just watch nowadays.
I only lasted till lunch last night. Hopefully we get two quick ones before lunch and then cook and carberry can put em to the sword.
Massive fail last night... fell asleep before lunch and woke up around 6`ish.
What a kn0b....
Highlights of last night's play on Pick TV in 15 minutes, if you have a freeview telly
Up until 9.30am - full day's play for me
Watch it piddle down
Neo
Forgot about that - watching now
Shot selection is abysmal from their top 5.
Too much pajama format. Personal glory and big bucks have filled the gap since their greats all got old together.
No different - in principle - to a generation of young West Indians going after basketball instead of cricket due to American influence.
Thank goodness for England and South Africa upholding 150 odd years of sporting tradition.
You just don't see players prepared to build an innings like Amla does for SA
Evening all,
So bowl out the last two for 30odd,
And crack up a big score?
Or more twists and turns?
Bring it on.
I like watching Amla play fantastic player and my word what about that for a beard..
A lot depends on whether England's top three can revisit the stoic discipline of three winters ago and whether Mitchell Johnson and Co can fulfill what everybody in the Aussie media has been saying for weeks - that they have the better bowling attack.
Prediction:
Close of play: England trail Australia by 35 runs with 5 wickets in hand.
Exactly what I was thinking guys whilst watching. All these flashy 6's are worthwhile to temporarily entertain the crowd but if Australia want to return to being a force at the top of test cricket they need players with a calmer head. Getting high scores regularly at low strike rates are much more telling than hitting quickfire 20s and 30s then getting out.
Evening
