Hmmm, maths never was my strong point!

As for responding to media rumours, I think that's a ridiculous idea. How often do you propose the club issues statements in response to media rumours?

---

So far this week we would have:

Arsenal have not agreed a fee for Suarez.
Chelsea have not agreed a fee for Suarez.
Spearing has not signed for Blackburn.
We have not agreed a fee for Mhki.
We have not agreed a fee for Dzsudszak.

Any more this week?

This Melwood lacky doing the typing is going to be pretty busy.

How long does it take/much does it cost for some office dweller at Melwood to type "the club deny all links to Mkhitaryan"?
==============================
There are dozens of rumours every week and responding to them would be the biggest waste of time ever.

If they respond to one rumour people would expect them to be responding to ALL rumours.

Ayre watch

I don't know where he is

He could be trying to tie up a deal, he could be playing golf. dunno.

tell us. where is he?

If we did/do want him, where the hell is Ayre?

---

What do you mean where is he?

Do you want him tracked on GPS or something?

You can't expect us to sign everyone. If the price is too much then we move of to someone else. It's very simple.

he hasn't signed for anyone yet

and you still haven't told us where Ayre is, who he is talking to and what he had for breakfast yet

I think the moral of the story is don't get super excited over someone until we actually sign them.

This one is beginning to feel like Turan and Simao.

Dortmund send a delegation to Ukraine. Land the player.

Ayre disappears off the face of the planet. Don't land the player.
==================================
It's not that simple.
It's very likely they agreed a fee before sending someone to complete the paperwork.

Do you know ho embarrassing it would look if Ayre went to Ukraine and came back with nothing?

No they wouldn't.
=============================
Just like you're expecting them to respond to a single rumour, others would expect them to respond to all rumours after responding to one.

Dortmund have a delegation in Donetsk signing our number 1 target. Ayre is nowhere to be seen.

----------

Which would suggest he isn't our #1 target.

posted on 6/7/13

How do we know Ayre is nowhere to be seen? Are any of you in Donetsk? Or are we relying on twitter again?

Why has Ayre disappeared off the planet? He is not a media personality. I would imagine he is busy doing his job. Again, I wonder why you want to know his whereabouts so badly?

Why must it be his fault? Based on what?

Surely the most believable and logical explanation, is that Mkhi chose the CL finalists and didn't really want to join us?

==========================
This is completely misleading.
Clubs usually send representatives to complete signings after fee has been agreed.

maybe he's wearing a disguise

with a big moustache

FYI there are similar articles on all the other boards regarding their targets. and their clubs aren't denying or confirming rumours to help them out either

They have no need to say anything. Stop getting your knickers in a twist. We're you this upset when the club didn't comment about any other signing we've made or player we've been linked to? Stop being do emotional!

RAP is clearly not going to be happy until LFC TV launch an Ayre-watch spin off channel.

That would be an even worse version of Big Brother.
