As for responding to media rumours, I think that's a ridiculous idea. How often do you propose the club issues statements in response to media rumours?

It's very likely they agreed a fee before sending someone to complete the paperwork.

Why has Ayre disappeared off the planet? He is not a media personality. I would imagine he is busy doing his job. Again, I wonder why you want to know his whereabouts so badly?

Clubs usually send representatives to complete signings after fee has been agreed.

FYI there are similar articles on all the other boards regarding their targets. and their clubs aren't denying or confirming rumours to help them out either
