I wouldn't say Floyd doing that is boring, i enjoy watching a world class skilled boxer hitting and not getting hit, after all it's what boxing is about. I like a good brawl as much as the next boxing fan but seeing Floyd make top class fighters look like mugs is something i appreciate. Each to their own though i guess.

Mayweather vs Cotto was a good fight.

Mayweather vs Baldomir was not.

Just landing light scoring punches with not much of a contest, is not entertaining, well for me it isn't.

Golovkin thought that Canelo could cause Floyd a little trouble early on but as he gases Floyd will take over and pot shot while Canelo struggles to get into range.

Sorry d4 but you hate anything to do with Mayweather.

For someone who loves and understands the sport so much, how you can't enjoy watching Mayweather amazes me.

VIK II

The majority of the crowd at Mayweather vs Baldomir were casual boxing fans then as well as the HBO commentary then

The Hayemaker

Have you seen the Mayweather vs Baldomir fight?

I suggest you watch it, if you can stay awake, and tell me it's a great fight.

Don't like Wlad's jab jab grab technique for 12 rounds.

I like exciting explosive fights with attacking intent and big punching.

I've won a lot of money on Mayweather winning, he us predictable in what he does.

I'll probably bet on Mayweather by UD again, easy money, but it will be a boring predictable fight.

GGG has a good boxing mind.

You can't compare Wlad with Mayweather tbh, say for example Haye and Wlad were the same size, Haye would win easy. Wlad only wins due to size whereas Floyd fights people of generally the same weight and still outclasses them.

Both safety first risk free fighters that tend to tire their opponents out.

Both defensive minded and hold and spoil on the inside

No, he doesn't have a great offence.

It is predictable when you know the players involved, maybe not to a hundred percent but its in the 90s.

And over the years Mayweather and his predictability has bought me quite a bit of extra cash.

Granted they are other fighters that have more variables and are harder to predict, but at least that unpredictability makes there fight more interesting.

His punch landed average per a round is nothing special.
And well bellow the current great attacking boxers.

D4, I may be way off here so apologies if I am.

But we're you not the man I had a dispute with over Tyson? He sounds like your type of fighter?

What was it about?

Tyson was an exciting boxer, didn't care much for the man though.

Knew his boxing though, quite a boxing historian.

Think this is my only Tyson related post on this site.

Must have been someone else on a different forum, apologies mate.

Tyson was a better boxer than he was ever given credit for.

Out of interest, where would you say he ranks in the list of great heavyweights?
