Bayern don't mess about. They pay the fee and get the player they want.
They wanted Martinez, stumped up the cash, probably over the odds by a bit and got him.
We haggle over the prices.
Maybe if we didnt sell everyone we didnt want so cheap we could just get things sorted quicker.
Well its not looking likely for Utd anymore I'll just say that
Part of me is just frustrated but we've seen this before its nothing new.
Want to know more about Rooney though as surely you dont end tour after such minor injury he could still stay out there doing PR work for the club. Its weird to be coming home.
Coming back for a hamstring strain is odd.
But personally don't think any of the clubs that could afford him are interested in him.
I say........Get on the blower to Mr Levy and tell him to name his price for Mr Bale.
Cut the nice guy routine United. Football Is serious business these days. There's no room for nicey nicey in business.
Ah sod it what will be will be. Giggs is not even 40 yet so we are sorted in CM anyway.
^ nice guy routine?
Eh? We've not been nice in the tteansfer market. We use to consistancy buy other pl teams top players, tap up players etc.
We just don't like paying full wack, never have. There is no chance we'd pay levy money for bale.
He wouldn't solve our cm problems but we do need a lw aswell.
Much more so than a lb. why are we going for baines

Not as odd as coming back a day after flying out to Asia.
Brilliant.... combines all the nonsense of the day into one short transfer rumour.

Strange to pick up a hamstring injury when only been at the Bangkok hotel 6 hours and no training session yet. If true surely he would be allowed a proper nights sleep first?
Thiago has a release clause.
Barca are helpless
nice guy routine?

By not discussing team's players. Nobody else seems to give a shist. Why the hell should we?
"only been at the Bangkok hotel 6 hours and no training session yet"
Pretty sure this is United training and in Bangkok.

That's put a hole in the conspiracy theory, 1982.
Fair enough, guess the injury is possible then

In respect of the player you mentioned, probably because the club no it's a pointless exercise. Bales fee would eat our budget.
Is not as simple as just paying release clause.
Outside of Spain a club must also pay the VAT which Utd have refused to do. Bayern obvisouly are willing to do this hence why he is very close to the move according to reports.
Best case scenario now is we start the season without Rooney because he's injured.
And our captain isn't even on the tour either. He must be a while away too.
Oh joy!
Sign a superstar United and cheer us all up a bit. Preferably a left footed welsh winger who plays for Spurs.

It is true, graham hunter confirmed it is what is holding up the move,
Why would bale leave spurs they got a great side there and just signed top midfielder, a good striker signed and they will be right up there.
He seems genuinely happy there as well which is great.
What is the vat on the transfer?
We won't pay VAT on Thiago (one of the world's best young players) but we happily paid £16m for Young and £20m for Anderson amongst many other ridiculously expensive and risky deals.
Sorry I don't buy it.
Thiago cleary doesn't want to come to United as much as we hoped he might. Our club would pay the fee if he did because he's obviously worth even more but for this silly release fee.

It's weird but apparently in Spain if player has buy out clause another Spanish club only has to pay the fixed buy out fee. But if player goes outside of Spain they must also pay the VAT. Now I've no idea how much this is but Utd have apparently not been willing to pay this.
