The only thing I would say is that Suarez stands more chance if winning a trophy with us than he does with Arsenal, the last decade had been testament to that fact.

Unless we're gonna buy at least 3 more players of his quality, there'd be no point
Suarez doesnt want to waste his career like Gerrard has so will move on top a top team.
Arsenal + Suarez would be a much more competitive side than the current Liverpool team....
Would suarez want play with henderson, downing and allen or with cazorla, wilshere and walcott?

Why would Suarez want to join us?
We are currently the 4th best team in England but we also have 70m a season to spend to improve.
Lets hypothetically say we sign Suarez and a 20-30m midfielder possibly Cesc. That realistically will give us a little title challenge. But the season after we will have another 70m to spend meaning we will be very competitive.
Wenger has already stated he expects us to be mixing it with top in 2-3 seasons time.
I currently believe that the whole issue is becoming a smokescreen, however with Real Madrid spending such an amount on a midfielder who they did not exactly need but unquestionably enhances their squad then it does not seem like Suarez was a priority. After all, despite Alonso's decline he is still a phenomenal player and they could have made do for a year and use their funds to get Suarez.
I don't think Real Madrid will pursue Suarez any longer and therefore Arsenal's interest in the player may be being overplayed in an attempt to get some more clubs to crawl out of the woodwork.
There are not many bigger clubs than Liverpool, but their current situation puts them at a disadvantage in terms of retaining World Class players. However- where can Suarez go? He won't go to either Barcelona or Real Madrid anymore; PSG seem to be buying Cavani and have a wealth of attacking options at the moment and I put Bayern in the same camp as Madrid: they had several midfield options yet have just spent £20million on Thiago? Surely if they wanted Suarez then that £20million would have been prioritised as part of the funds to sign him? That pretty much rules out his options abroad as far as I'm concerned.
In England, only Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City are a step-up in that they can challenge for trophies and compete at Champions League level. None of these seem possible to me either.
I genuinely don't know where he will end up, he seems to have cornered himself into a position praying for a deal to Madrid when it may not actually happen now.
Cesc will never come back here.

That's your problem though, it's all hypothetical. Once again you have been fed the same story that you have a massive transfer budget and once again you'll buy some youngsters and decent squad players.
If Cesc actually wants to leave then he is coming back to us, no chance in hell he will go to United.

Please define how Gerrard has wasted his career at Liverpool?
He was won everything but the premier league!
Like Gerrard says the PL is the most important trophy

To build a winning team you have to buy players like Suarez. I don't understand your point. How do you show ambition? So we are offering Suarez a chance of winning trophies. We finished 4th. With Suarez and a couple of more players why wouldn't we be challenging?

Since when have we had new sponsorship deals resulting in an extra 70m in revenue?
Since when have we officially bid 30m on a player before?
It's not hypothetical, we've been waiting for this moment for the last 7 season. Claiming that being stingy in the short term will help us in the long term and long term has finally arrived. It's fact not fiction anymore.

So you mention your 3 best players and 3 of our squad players?
Surely if Madrid can spend 32m on Irralimendi they could wrap up Suarez in days if they wanted to?
--------------------
They probably don't value Saurez as highly as we do so will be hoping to lower the price. They've already spent £65 million as well.

I can't wait for him to either stay for 12 months more or move abroad. Just so the Gooners on here look stupid again!
What on earth do Barcelona gain from selling Fabregas?
If I was in charge at Barcelona and someone offered me £60million I would still reject it.
