anyone got an extra large Jacket Potato going spare?
Lol berba was an afterthought in his last season with us. So too Nani last season. The logic for keeping was by far the dumbest in the history of football.
If you do not want a player, why keep him on the bench for one season, have him lose his transfer value and pay him 5 million in wages, all so you can make some idiotic point? who benefited from it? We as a team basically lost 15 million on berbatov because we wanted to keep him around a year on the bench! And people say we are not rich.
You guys can't see it.
Sell Rooney.
God forbid an injury to RvP.
That's PL over.
Redastomatoes- The future is cleverson!! (U12026)
That is my point. United are not beyond doing that.
SLM you can't see it
Bow down to Rooney
Utd is over. No one is bigger than the club
Imo you should cut your losses and sell rooney to the highest bidder then buy someone better. There are quality replacements out there, I know it's unlikely due to wages but how about Ibra?
SLM, but you have to factor in who is brought in.
I don't even think it will happen, but let's say Fabregas does sign United - even Danny Welbeck could score 15 goals playing in the same team as him as he create SO many chances.
Difference between Rooney and Nani/Berba (aside from the extravagant wages Rooney is on) is the media circus that surrounds Wayne. Unless Rooney comes out and categorically states that he's happy at United, and I'm not holding my breath on that one, this is going to go on for another 12 months. We simply can't allow that to happen.
Don't be fooled by the bravado from Moyes and Woodward. Rooney is off and they are looking for as big a fee as possible.
Danny Welbeck will not score 1.5 goals next season talk less of 15.
Lets forget that thought.
As for players being brought in.
We're in the top 3 biggest clubs. But pulling power we are 7-10 IMO.
We won't be signing a megastar or a player close to world class. I've accepted that.

You do realise that United find it very difficult to sign world class players right?
Hernandez scored more goals than Rooney last season despite playing less minutes.
Hernandez, when he starts is like we have 10 men.
The amount of times we moaned last year.
Yes his hold up play and link play has improved, but not to the level of starting for United.

I would not be surprised if Utd let the circus continue. We did it with Ronaldo on 08. All throughout 08/09 we had the circus of will he leave or will he not. Ferguson saying he would stay. Ronaldo on sky interviewing etc Utd would let it continue and our players are professional, they won't let it affect them. I am sure every player at Utd in 08/09 knew Ronaldo was off. They still won the title, carling cup and reaching CL final.

Rooney's importance to this team is incomparable to what Ronaldo's was back then.
But he won't be starting he'll be backup.
You don't even know who we will sign. It's not always about replacing like for like or stat for stat.
Teams evolve and that's what well need to do. Hopefully Kagawa can excel playing as an attaching midfielder and he will give us more control in the middle, especially in the big games.
Rooney is a very good striker but he's not irreplaceable.

In the last year what has Rooney said that had disrespected you?
It's idiotic business sense are my thoughts, get a bloody decent fee if he's gonna go.
We sell cheap and then moan there's little value in the market, maybe of we sold players for proper fees it becomes less of an issue
It's not about just replacing Rooney. Imho this has been done already. RVP and Hernanez are capable of getting goals. Hernandez is a full international scoring buck loads for mexico. He is a established player. Kagawa also gives us that number 10 role. So we have the replacements. It's the commercial side we need to replace. And in all honesty squad depth is important. Welbeck is hardly someone to rely on for goals is he? If Utd lose Rooney someone who scores and is highly marketable is important. I am sure the sponsors want someone as marketable if not more than Rooney if he leaves. Ronaldo or Bale come to mind.
We will need to buy if he is sold no question.
Rvp and Hernandez and kags as a ten is not enough.
Don't mention welbeck, he's crap. And if the other days game is anything to go by he ain't spent his summer practising hitting the target.
Ronaldo and Bale aren't coming

And my point is they are incredibly stupid for doing so.

Which is an important point. Rooney is not going anywhere unless he is replaced off the field.
I think it's pretty obvious we will buy someone if we sell Rooney, who that is we don't know yet. So there's no point whinging about Rooney leaving because his replacement (that we don't know who it is) won't be good enough.
