Morning Chronic,

I was born in Ireland and came across to England in 1956, as my Father was in the RAF. He was a football fan & also involved in running the RAF Representative side which included playing against pro teams behind closed doors.

His favourite team to play against was Spurs & he was often given complimentary tickets by Spurs after the friendly matches. He used two of these to take me to WHL in October 1958 to see Spurs play Everton. The result was an amazing 10-4 to Spurs, after that how could I follow any other team?

PS: My Father's team that he supported (because of a friendship with The Preston Plumber) was Preston North End, however as I loved Spurs he changed his allegiance and we saw many matches bothe here & abroad!

My girlfriend is half turkish, so her family club is Galatasaray. I can live with that as she took to my beloved Spurs instantly and has chosen them to be her second club

I'm in the lucky position that my girlfriend's family are posh so support no one.

Come from a whole family of Spurs from my mums side including my uncle, cousins etc and my whole immediate family . My grandad was a spurs season ticket holder for 45 years and witnessed the 60s double winning side so loved hearing stories from him. My girlfriend can't stand football but I have taken her to a few games .... Blackpool away and Sunderland away and they were up there among the 2 worse spurs performances I have seen, never again

i took my gf to a spurs game once...

spurs 1 - 4 villareal in a pre season friendly.

on the subject of taking your gf to spurs games... i was at upton park last season and the guy behind me brought his very very attractive gf... to facking west ham away on a monday night lol.

not only that he spent the whole game stood on his chair calling all the west ham players caants and was just generally acting like a yob

me and the lads i was with came to the conclusion that he had to have been trying to get rid of her

that's brilliant. He probably was a real nice bloke thinking "Fack it, i'm just gonna take her to West Ham and behave like a caant, that will get rid of her.

Grew up in Croatia until 10 years old. Coming to England as a little kid, i remember my first day in the school and all the kids asking me what football team i supported. The only one i had heard of at the time were Man Utd so i said i supported them.

The reality was i didn't support anybody at that stage.
USA 94 and Euro 96 really ignited my passion for football. I am a die-hard Croatia fan. Major tournaments are a tense time but happily we tend to do well in these relatively speaking, for a country of 4 million people.

I started following Tottenham when the Croat lads converged on the club. Before i knew it i got the Spurs bug and have followed them ever since. I am going halves on a season ticket this year and i am buzzing for the new season to KO
