Women Managers in Football?

It will never happen and I don't see why it should either.

This may seem controversial, but I do think it would be better if we kept the 2 genders separate

Women should be in the kitchen, making me a sandwich.

Any reason why they should be kept apart?

Look at the Women official in Men's Football. She has made her fair share of poor decisions, as has every official, but I've seen her be consistent in getting a lot of decisions right. Especially on MOTD if she is a liner, I do see her get most of her decisions correct.

Thought some might be up to Women in Football as like I said, they may bring something else to the game.

No. This isn't sexist is anyway, and anyone who accuses me seriously needs to understand what I say.
I know for a fact that if women were to pla with men, the majority of men would not be able to play to their full potential (tackling, shielding the ball) when a woman is on floor. I highly doubt the likes of Carragher etc. would have been able to make a name for themselves if they were told to go 2 footed into a 19 year old for instance.
Added on the chants and hassle from the opposition fans, aswell as the plain fact that only the minority would be able to hack it in the men's sports (adding an unbalanced element) it would be best if we kept thm separate

Re-read the Title and the Text. I mention, just Women Managers into the men's Game, not players. That's why I think it could be a big influence is Women MANAGERS were involved.

Men are more physically equiped then women, which shows when you compare female football to men's. Women's football is nowhere near even League Two in my opinion. However, Women are smarter of the sexes, and I don't see why female management isn't allowed.

First we need to get over the problem of black managers and coaches who haven't really had a professional football career (Rodgers and AVB). It's a sad state of affairs when the likes of Roy Keane or even Gaza are just getting jobs, because they were good players.

I know.
But you'd be naive to think that woman footballers will accept managers playing the men's sport and not them themselves.

personally i am of the opinion if they are good enough shouldn't make any dif whether they are male, female, black or white, small or tall, fat or thin.

if they are good enough they should be in the job.

don't work like that though sadly and a lot of discrimination happens sadly in all walks of life.

But as the vast majority of members so far have said, they'll be well known that they won't be able to keep up with the physicality of Men's Football. So they wouldn't mind and it would encourage more men into the game.

Agreed TTM. They couldn't handle the Men's game, but tactically, very sound. I really think there could be a couple of managers that would make it to a decent PL side and actually compete with others.

And it's also to do with human nature. There are some players that work best when being barked at (fertile etc.) I for the life of me, can't see the likes of Ferdinand and Rooney being intimidated by a woman shouting orders at at them

A female manager would have no authority over the dressing room- she would be laughed at.

I'm not saying it's right, but I'm saying that's how it is.

The problem is, football still has a very neanderthal attitude in general. When racism and homophobia is still fairly commonplace, it is never realistic to expect equal footing for females.

The amount of people who said something along the lines of "I'm only watching the Women's Footy for the fit birds" is shocking.

If that's honestly how you feel, fine I suppose, but the fact that it's still acceptable in society to say that is a shame.

Well, they have the right to sell them then. it's only like anyone else. You wouldn't get laughed at by any means shape or form IMO.

i get that when i say i am watching womens tennis Igor,

i love watching tennis any way and having fit players to look at as well is just a bonus for me, certainly not the reason why i watch it.

I don't see why it should be a problem. Only like having a Black Manager in charge really.

Individual sports I can see happening. Like Jesseca Ennis could beat most male Olympians. And I'm pretty sure Serena Willams could have won Males Wimbeldon in her career if given the chance.
But a team game that is a discriminative as sports, no way. Player or manager

Should be like that but in reality it's not. It's all about who you know and who you are. Why do awful managers like Mark Hughes get job after job but most people have never heard of Gary White?

Not gonna happen, well not in my lifetime.

Chairman gives them a budget to buy players and they come back with Gucci bags, shoes and jewellery, lol....

There are quite a few managers who werent football players actually. just not at a high level. I think the reason why prem managers were most often players etc. is because fans have such a high demand of a known manager. I sure as hell know that we'd all be pretty pîssed if our owners bought some unknown guy who manager Dartford for a couple years.
And that is why I don't think women managers will be able to exist in men's football.
The main reason as to why players are usually accepted iinto going in to managing is because they at least have experience in the game from one point of view (being a player and learning from other managers).
The likes of Liverpool/United wouldn't accept a male manager who didn't have any playing experience. So if it were a women, they too would be expected to have playing experience.
And like you said, even you can't see women actually playing football with men, which is where it all falls apart

^Sorry to toot my own horn, but that was a very good post, and I think I've just understood myself whilst writing that why (discrimination aside) women can't manage teams.
