Tbh he has said why he's leaving a few times, the press have hounded him out the country. He has to do what's best for his family.
I think now Higuain has gone to Napoli Madrid will make there move Arsenal could still miss out on their main transfer target and liverpool needing a replacement you could end up both going in for Soldado or someone else
Like I said, I wouldn't mind if he went to Real or another top team in another country, but that excuse doesn't really make sense if he moves to Arsenal.
Tell you what then, lets meet Suarez in the middle and sell him to us at Spurs then he can qualify for CL with us and stick 2 fingers up at Arsenal

He's been hounded out that much he's going to London. The scûm press capital of the world

There have been a few names thrown around as replacements for Suarez for both teams, but there aren't many that could come in and be as good as Suarez, even less so for Liverpool as we don't have Champions League football to offer this year.
I would like Soldado but I don't think we would get him, I really do hope we get Erikson (sp) though.
Scribe is back (U18092)
You can have Suarez if we can have Bale, deal?
Sd, yeah that's my point really. The guy will say anything to get what he wants. He owes you all really for the countless times you've stood behind him. Yet he's jumping ship as soon as a better offer comes around.

We will give you bale if we can have Suarez with any teeth!

Eriksen does seem a good possibility and i also think that Sturridge will score loads for you guys this season.
I agree that replacing Saurez will not be easy and with this transfer window being dominated by strikers swapping clubs already options do seem limited
typo error there scribe lol, sure you wasn't right the first time.
Scribe is back (U18092)
Deal! I'll just give Ayre a call and tell him to get down to London.
Chicharitooooooo (U18012)
If Sturridge can keep fit I think he will score a lot of goals, especially with the creative players he has around him. But thats if he can stay fit. Which is why it is important that if we sell Suarez we need to find a suitable replacement as I don't think Borini is ready yet to step up and be the main man. As you said, strikers will be limited, and even more so if this deal takes much longer to go through for either Arsenal or Madrid.
I think Eriksen would be a great signing, but it would mean having to change some of the players around in the formation.
Excellent we have packaged Kenny Macavoy oops I mean Gareth Bale up and he is ready to go
look ..the 50 million we get from arsenal would be nice ..
but theres no guarantee that money would be spent properly ..
and we are giving our prized asset to a team that only challenges on the dividend and shareholders profit cup ....
not to mention blaming the media , then jumping to another english team...
if he goes to arsenal then it will be one of the most dissapointing things ive witnessed in 30 years of supporting liverpool....
To the OP:
Let me get this right, so if Suarez wanted to join Man Utd, you would understand and happily sanction the sale?!
I dont think we'll get Suarez to be honest, and i would have happily accepted Higuain, but for some strange reason the club seem really intent on getting Suarez
HUNTING FOR GLORY (U16317)
Of course I wouldn't be happy if we sold him to Utd, to be honest I wouldn't be happy to sell him at all. But if he is so intent on leaving then a top team abroad would be the best place for all.
Like I said in the op, I just don't understand why he would want to leave to a team in the same country (the whole media thing), that has the same season goals as us.
suarez will not be the only player we sign, there will be more to come. We finished top 4 bare minimum after selling our best players every year and having the lowest net spend in the league. now that we don't have to sell and can add top players we will set out sights higher, Luis knows.
@ Tactical Genius:
I doubt theres any Arenal fan that believes that if bids from both Real Madrid & Arsenal are accepted by Liverpool.
Suarez would opt for Arsenal over Real, but thus far we seem to be the only club that's made a bid.
And it appears that Suarez would rather be anywhere but Liverpool, no idea why cos you lot have stood by him through a lot, but that's modern footballers for you
wouldn't it make sense to show you mean this by buying the players?
sounds like you are banking on getting Luis first to show other players you mean business, but what if that doesn't work, then what?

HUNTING FOR GLORY (U16317)
I think Real were probably just waiting for the Higuan sale before moving for Suarez, but we will see in the next couple of weeks I guess. As for Arsenal being the only bidders at the moment, just because you have bid and even if he wants to join you, that doesn't mean we have to accept. So far we have been fairly resilient in what our valuation of the player is, I just hope we stick to that. For £55 mil I couldn't care less where he goes, as long as the money is spent wisely.
I actually don't see why Arsenal would want him anyway, I would have thought that he was too selfish to play in your system, but maybe his quality would counter that.
