Same old story from last season. We are conceding goals yet again. Ok, it's a premiership side, but they did say on sky sports our players look unfit. You need to get them back on allestree park Nigel
If any of our members went, who impressed and what was johnny Russell like?
Like I said Wassa, pedestrian performance. No one stood out as bad or good. The slow nature of the game was made obvious when Sammon came on but his lack of finish was there again. First touch looked better though. Russell had some decent moments but final ball was out. We didn't play to his strength which I think will be getting onto a through ball. He had good control.
Nigel has to decide on Hendrick or Bryson To play alongside Hugh's. The three of them doesn't work as we lack proper width. This is what competition for places is about. One on the bench will make the other two play better.
I thought we looked decent. Grant looked solid.
Keogh good game, full blacks ok. Ben Davies did well when he came on at RB.
Good game from Hughes, other midfielders pretty quiet.
Russell and Martin looked very promising I thought. Real understanding and cohesion, exactly what we lacked last season.
Sammon: Through on goal, legs went to jelly, arms and legs started flailing, fluffed the opportunity. Same old.
Bring on next season. High hopes for the front 2.

Jamie Mackie signs for Forest. 14 comments
Brayford leaves. 285 comments.
Conclusive proof that it's easier to complain than show you're content. Regarding the huge fan base that represents I'd hazard a guess that half a dozen people posted 90% of the 285 posts. Conclusive proof that there are some serious bores at the wrong end of the A52.
Alright Rev?
May not be very sporting but I honestly couldn't afford to pay you!
I'd have a fiver with you max?
Others may take you up?
Well I went to the game and didn't see much to get excited about. Grant looked good and distributed well. Freeman was poor. Hughes was ineffective. Keogh and Buxton were good but occasionally Bucko looked slow. Martin and Russell look like they might score a few. How many will determine Derby's season. Martin especially looked much more interested than last season. Perhaps he has accepted his drop in status now.
Ben Davies was a big improvement over Freeman when he came on. I liked Freeman last year - perhaps it was the heat.
Ward was OK but Hendrick was not so effective.
Improvement all round is needed

His and Peter Taylor's statue even shows that - with their backs to the Stadium, facing towards Nottingham.

Learn some geography you prattock.
The statues may well have their backs to Pride Park Stadium, but they are also turned to Nottingham. They both look out over the city of Derby, a place they both held in their hearts with great affection. I could be wrong but I think the statues practically faces where the mighty Baseball Ground once stood.

I could be wrong, but I believe that article was pulled as the OP was failing to moderate it and complaining about comments made on it.

Owd rev, creating a wum article then trying to get Igor banned. Classy.
People put the laughing face in to show that they have written something funny. No one would know otherwise.
Or in Direby's case laughing at something that is a joke and is funny. That's what you mean spart.
Is it wrong to laugh at a joke that is funny then Pep?
Weird.

You are too easy Bevspencer
Maybe you should word your 'banter' a little better Pep, it's better if it at least makes some sense
Owd rev, got found out but hoped everyone would forget in 4 weeks. Tragic.
Do you mean laughing at changing the name Derby to direby then pep? I am splitting my sides at that one.
You can't be laughing at the team Derby as I remember last season when we beat you yet again at the kennel that you all seemed to be angry. Or is the team Derby something to laugh at when you win. If so you have only had three laughs in the last 5 years. Sometimes I fail to understand you lot from the darker side. What you find to laugh at, Tonto laughs at numbers, the rev laughs at any sentence he writes (your funeral services must go down a bomb) and pep laughs at corny jokes. Still it takes all sorts to make a world.
