£1.6million.

It was £3.5million ten minutes ago- I know Pete's good, but ffs.

Henrik it was 3.5m euros at first over the past hour I've seen 2m euros said places too

Aye andy?

Hosiner deal is still on then.

But can we really afford to spend more than 3 or 4 million in total ?

we've already spent £4m this season mate on Van Dijk and Balde...and we will sign another 2 or 3 players before the transfer window shuts, the sooner the better tho.

Wouldn't be surprised to see one of the rb's go if they believe Fisher is up to it

Wilson might be a surprise departure. If thats the case then another cb will be required.

So LW check CF, CM, LB, CB. I like freshing up the squad but too many changes will hurt us.

Tim, I guess you're right. Maybe we will see some action and a wee bit of quality come in.
Here's hoping.

Joe it's going to be an interesting week for the Hoops this week thats for sure

I can see us bringing in at least 1 player before the elfsborg game, hopefully a player who is going to add quality and can go right into the team.

When do players have to be registerred by?

Izzy definitely needs comp
Hoops definitely needs replaced

I think those two positions will be filled come the end of this week.

I just hope we're up to this on Wednesday, we can't go to Sweden chasing the game, in my opinion.

Even last season when we beat Helsinki 2-1 I was scheidting it because of their away goal.

I'd have preferred to have been at home in the return leg.

As long as his comp is a bit better than El Kaddouri

As usual, we should sign the right guy(s) for the right fee, at the right wage, for the right duration.

It's some balancing act, and I'm glad it's no ma responsibility.

There's no point in spending for spending's sake.

Just to say ' We've bought guys '.

David Murray did that.

Henk understandable. As I said earlier if we cant beat this mob at home with our current players we dont deserve to be in the champs league.

This mob are not any better than Helsingborg, they sit 5th/6th in the league and have dropped points in over half their games this season. Only thing that might show is match sharpness the team and the fans need to be right up for it and kill this tie on weds night.

No, but we're weaker than we were last year.

We've sold a player for £12.5m- teams do not pay that sort of money for players in the SPL unless they are something special- and we're talking of replacing him with injury-prone Kayal?

We can still be financially secure and still have ambition, they're not mutually exclusive.

Signing anyone now for vics replacement isnt going to be the difference maker in this tie Henk.

Getting the players to play at a decent tempo from the off and building on that will make the difference.

People dont hang about eh?

i watched a bit of Elfsborg yesterday..they are nothing special but that doesn't mean we should underestimate them which i'm sure Lennon and the players will not do.We have Ledley,Mathews,Mulgrew and Van Dijk back for the game as well so we should have enough to win the game on Wednesday.

chu that was like that about 2 hours ago when i checked it.

One additional player can be registered up to 11pm on Tuesday to play in Wednesday's game. Thought it was going to be a striker mind, not a left winger/midfield.

But it's ludicrous to want to achieve the same standards whilst believing it is possible when we weaken ourselves.

I realise we must sell our quality players, but it does not mean we should accept poor replacements.

So far we've sold two of our best three players and haven't replaced them- that does not bode well for continuing to improve never mind just match what we done last season.

This may take time, and I'm aware Lawwell may not part with the cash unless we do qualify: I'm just saying if we enter the Group Stages without any good replacements then we must cut short our ambitions; when we should really be trying to better ourselves!

I think we have enough for this round but will need more to get into the groups.

Did you know the hoops and vic would become two of our best players when we signed them? Give the new guys and any future players the time we gave hoops and vic.

Do we need to spend a lot to better ourselves ?
Big Vic was a steal, Ledley, Mathews and Commons all improved the team as does, controversial, Mulgrew.
Maybe we should stick to the bargain bucket!!!
