Parking up early tomorrow. The embankment is shut off so everyone will be searching for a space. Going to take in the atmosphere around the ground and then off to the Stratford for a pint
Deluded? Overexcited? Deluded - maybe. I've always been a glass half full kinda person. Overexcited - absolutely. THE FOOTBALL SEASON IS STARTING!
However - and I have stated this before - I have never wasted my time going on to other teams pages and trying to start banter or make comments. So whilst I am obviously excited and granted a little blinkered - I am not obsessed by anothe teams page.
It is exciting, but I do think we still need a striker to really be able to push the top two. I don't know if we've got goals throughout the team really - not without Lewis. It depends on Abdoun, Mackie, and Paterson I suppose, all of whom I know next to nothing about - does Mackie score a lot?
That is the joy of the Championship. Most fans will start the season with the feeling that this may be their year. Contrast that with the Premiership where most fans will start the season with the feeling can we survive. Makes you wonder why clubs want to go there.
We will find out in May whether optimism was misplaced. Most fans always view their players and signings as having more ability than is the case in reality. Anyway best of luck for the season Forest fans (I don't actually mean that). Hope to hear you whining on about how you were robbed again at the end of September.
Paterson looks a great prospect. What I've seen so far which is 10 minutes or so makes me think losing Lewis will be compensated by him. Also, looking at Abdoun on the net. He can score freekicks and looks good on the ball.
Mackie will score if given the support. Can't see Mackie and Cox in the same side though. Maybe wrong but I think he might go with Henderson, Mackie and Der.. Derb ... that bloke called Matt upfront in a 4-3-3 tomrrow
Do u think so Webbo? I can see 4-3-3 but with Mackie and Cox as wide players and Hendo through the middle. I suppose Derbyshire can play as wing forward but I can also see Paterson getting a start. Saying that, 4-3-3 sounds far too attacking for Billy in first game of season. More like 4-5-1 with Reid, Geddy, Moussi, and Raddy in midfield.

I think he'll go 442. I really can't see Moussi getting near the team for a while. I think it's be Lansbury, Pep, Reid and Paterson in the middle. Derbyshire and Mackie / Cox up front
Moussi won't even get a bench seat.
How can you not be excited?
Its the start of the season tomorrow
or do you really not fancy derbys upcoming season?
In 28 hours we get to see what the league is made of. Not just exciting to see how we'll our imprived team fares, but how the rest of the league starts.
Will QPR be the giants the Prem fanboys have been hyping over? Will any of the prem teams live up to the hype? will the lower league boys even compete?
Not to fear i'll be there tomorrow!

I'm peed off with how early the season is starting. I haven't been on holiday yet and it is still Cricket season so my youngest is missing the match. It's just wrong to start so early.
Having said that, Derby have a stronger squad this year than last so we will get more points and be thereabouts the playoffs come seasons end. Don't write us off.
As for you bunch of deluded fools. It only takes a couple of defeats for your owner to become unstable. If you think last season was a revolving door then you ain't seen nothing yet.
