I actually think this is a good move by Joe. Think it would not be a bad deal for the club either. That said, the Modric money should be wiped by them giving us player <s> worth upto the amount owed.

It has to be upfront, otherwise all they are doing is paying us from the shirts Bale sells. In other words, they are getting him for nothing that way

To be honest £100m now and £120m over 5 years aren't massively apart depending on inflation over the next few years.
