How's Essien holding up? When your season collapsed after his last injury, you should be more worried about that, than a United keeper surely?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Are you serious ??

Essien was awful last season.

Also you might want to take into account that Chelsea won the Double in the same season that Essien was out injured.

Believe me Essien being injured will have little bearing on Chelsea´s season.

Man Utd´s new keeper did look a bit crap though.

2 mistakes in 5mins???

-----

Care to point out these 2 mistakes ?? i can only see one.

Unless you are counting the first goal and by your own theory Joe Hart made 3 mistakes and was worse.

He could do NOTHING with first goal, was excellent for rest of game.

You need to remember he's 20 years old playing his first game and it's at Wembley in Manchester Derby, sorry but i doubt any 20 year old in world would go into that game without having nerves.

Any finally please GROW UP ! pathetic child

Because Kalou is terrible.

He also made a great save from Johnson.
-------------------------------------------------------

Sick of people saying this, any goalkeeper worth his salt could have saved that shot, it was not that hard

kalou would walk into the current united team.

united fans are just in denial and that is understandable. If it was any ither keeper united fans will be the first to crucify him.

I haven't said it, I rate de Gea, he's still young and will probably go on to be a world-class 'keeper. In fact I have him in my fantasy team. But it annoys me because he DID have quite a poor game and that save from Johnson was a save most 'keepers should be able to do.

Please explain how he had bad game ? apart from the Dzeko mistake ?

Sorry but i think you are just bandwagon jumping like the rest and probably only saw highlights of game.

He was good with ball and made some saves, yes he let shot in which was saveable but first was NOT his fault AT ALL !!! please watch it again i'm watching it now and there is NOTHING he could do it was an awesome freekick.

A Chelsea fan lecturing us about wasting money on rubbish! Really? Mikel anyone? Torres anyone?

OK so he didn't have the most solid of starts for us. He's always been a bit suspect on crosses but I think he can improve that with our experienced defence. He should have gathered Dzeko's shot too. But the save from Johnson was world class and everything else he did was done well. It was ONE GAME chavs!

But when you have a defence that is as good as ours and can change it to one just as good at half time, does it really matter if your keeper makes a mistake?

Alright Jezza I think most of the article is one big wind up, my posts are anyway

Any pub team keeper will be good with the ball and ofcourse make saved here and there and they are not worth even 100k. De gea is 20m!!! You are having a laugh.

posted on 8/8/11

I'll agree he's dreadful if Fernando Torres manages to score against him

posted on 8/8/11

De Gea isn't a gamble he is already a proven top keeper, he's won ueafa cup, european under 21s and been playing in spain for two seasons.

He was nervous yesterday and who wouldn't be ? a 20 year old's first game for a massive club at Wembley in Manchester derby !!

Come on give him some credit for getting past his error and having solid second half.

any pub team striker would have scored half of Torres's chances last season.

Torres is 50m!!! you are having a laugh.

See what i did there kid ???

Torres = 50 mill

Hernandez = 7 mill was it?

What a waste

Okay this is just getting childish now, Kalou obviously won't walk into the United team, he will most likely be on the bench.

Torres for 50mil is a fantastic signing considering the inflated fees nowadays. Think of it this way, 35 mil for Carrol, or 50 mil for Torres, Torres anyday and that's not even considering the income from merchandise.

Mikel is not a flop, United paid our money back and he is on of the best DM's in the league.
Essien was awful last year, Ramires was much better.
As I said De Gea will come good when he adapts to the league.
PSG paid higher for Pastore, we paid less, Pastore saw it as PSG valuing him more so he went. Nothing to cry about, we have Mceachran anyway.
