I have said all season that Real Madrid would beat Bayern.
They hardly created anything, though.
Whenever they did have the chance to break on the counter when we'd left space in behind they just seemed happy enough to slow it down and let us get numbers back and try and open us up by having more of their own players in attack.
Obviously they're still a world class side. But in the CL I don't think their attack has been as ruthless as it was last season.
A score draw at Old Trafford would have been a good result for them in seasons past. But not this year, despite what Pep may say.
We defended well against them but they made it easy for us by being so slow in possession. City carved us apart because they moved the ball quickly in and around the box and we struggle against that.
Backs to the walls defending with the play in front of us suits us and Moyes, and why we managed to limit them to just two chances in the game despite them having about 70% possession.
Fack me Diego what a goal
Was a great goal.
Iniesta's pass for the Barcelona goal was beautiful.
Sublime, but if Juanfran had just remembered what Iniesta was capable of then he would've cut it out imo.
Can still marvel at it though, fack knows how he gets the perfect weight on it.
Credit to Neymar aswell, good finish.
I just can't like Neymar.
I'm not a big fan either tbh.
He has the talent, but he's built like a pooosie. Needs to bulk up.
Terrific goals.
Atleti, Chelsea, United and Dortmund to go through then yeah?
Any other time I'd be a neutral towards United, but the highest Arsenal are finishing this season is fourth .
So fack off
Just catch Liverpool so they finish fourth and you can bask in our glory when the funniest thing in football happens and we do a Chelsea and steal Liverpool's CL place.
I think meltdown would ensue.
It was hilarious when it happened to Spurs.
But this would be next level stuff given it's United and Liverpool.
Can you imagine Got_Better's articles if it happened?
That would be brilliant.
I'm only close to 3 or 4 Liverpool fans, they've already become unbearable.
Diego, what a goal!
Iniesta, what a pass!
Courtois, what a great couple of saves!
Messi, where was he? <missing>
Neymar caused all Atleti all sorts of trouble, pity that landmine he stepped on when chasing the ball with Juanfran. I imagine he's maimed after that.
Didn't watch the United game last night, but I'll still be surprised if Bayern don't rip them to shreds back in Germany.
Bayern aren't near as impressive as last year. People assume because they keep 70% possession in games they're a barca type side, couldn't be more wrong IMO.
I haven't watched them much recently, but I did earlier on in the season and they were pretty meh. I thought that might have changed a bit since Thiago got back.
Barca are banned from signing players
Deulofeu and rafinha will get a fair go if it sticks, defence is furked still also valdes will hold them to ransom
Can they still loan out and borrow players?
