That's ridiculous.

I wonder if Barca beating Atleti to the title could really deflate them for the CL final?

Would you take that if it gave you an advantage over them and you won it?

No.

Fair enough.

anything that gives farza a chance of winning a major trophy like la liga is bad

thats why i'm so angry tonight

we, Real Madrid, have given them the chance to win la liga, in what is their worst season in 7 years

That's because Barca > Madrid, even when they're shiite.

Used to be that way too in the good old days with United vs City and Liverpool.

Unlucky lads.

Funny thing is that after the draw against Getafe, Martino conceded defeat, announced he wouldn't be at Barça next season and classed his season as a failure.

Amazing!

I wonder who Barca will go for next.

Luis Enrique it seems.

Real Madrid legend.

I loved Luis Enrique at Madrid, but we wasted his talent trying to reconvert him into a FB. Never held his move over to Barça against him.

Luis Enrique was quality for Barca.

On a brighter note for Madrid fans this morning, we're in the Spanish Youth Cup final after beating CL Youth champions Barça 4-2 on Monday in what was apparently a fantastic quarter final match, and then overcoming Racing Santander 6-4 (!) in yesterday's semis.

Final to be played against Real Sociedad, who beat Malaga with an injury time goal in the semis to book their place for Saturday's final.

I liked Luis Enrique - RM did indeed waste him.

Though, his failures in Roma should not be eroded from his record. It is agamble for sure.

I wrote an article over a year ago about the paucity of truly great 'centre-backs'. I should write another about 'great managers' because like us and Barca, we have slim pickings in he managerial stakes.

Desite Barcelona's obsession with 'one of their own', they went for Martino - they are going back to type with Luis Enrique.

If we don't get Van Gaal, what are the options?

If Arsene leaves Arsenal ( which could very well happen if he wins the FA cup or at least soon), who do they go for?

Top managers with the fortitude and ability are not a dime a dozen these days.

Martino was a last-minute appointment due to Tito's relapse though. I think the idea behind it was that some of his former sides had stood out for the organised pressing side of their game, which is what had gone amiss at Barça, but he never really managed to fully reinstate it.

As for options, I see a big tussle to land Tony Pulis or, failing him, Fat Sam.

Fat Sam would be more than up for it, he said himself that he is more suited to the likes of Inter and Madrid.
