Do you mean Gorbachev Loui ?
To say they had so many big names on the field and the bench, I thought we held our own quite well.....
Gobern was immense, so was Lynch, and Norwood (in the second half)
I love the formation too, with 3 CBs & 2 wingbacks......
I thought Scans had nicked it for us on 90 mins....
But a draw was a fair result.
Now we've got these 2 games out the way next few look easy. Lets hope we can bag a few points from this lot.....
Millwall (a)
Bournmouth (h)
Barnsley (a)
Donny (h)
Charlton (h)
I reckon we should get 10 points from the 15 available...
With how the last week has panned out, we could get 10 points easily from those games. Town played well today, but QPR and Wigan should walk this division.
A very good performance today against a side who should p-ss promotion, considering their past experience at Premiership level, plus the amount of brass they've spent on their team.
I thought our defence was much better today, although I was disappointed with Hunt and Carroll's overall performance, however, I thought 38's favourite Clarke had a really good match as did Smithies, although for me the outstanding performers were Lynch and Gobern, although Gerrard had a decent game for a change. Paterson did Ok but he should have buried that first half sitter when the score was level at 0-0.
However, we have now played two of the bookies favourites for promotion and only conceded a couple of goals, which argues well for the future.
Overall, a very good point and committed performance from Town today, particularly against many players who were competing in the Premiership last season, which should stand us in good stead for the rest of the season.
In Mark Robins I trust.
Most positive I've felt after home draw in years ....
Robins is the best manager we've had in years.....
Happy days....
More than happy with that result.
A good draw, & a well earned point by the sound of it.
maybe I got the score wrong, but a score draw as predicted none the less (only a couple of hundred out with the attendance too)
HMS 'htfc-inc' sailing in the right direction,
Steady as she goes
Couldn't get to the game due to family commitments but listened from 15 minutes in. Have to say I was impressed with what I heard and the subsequent comments on here.
1pt from 6 doesn't sound great but considering the levels of investment from both our opening opponents we certainly look to be turning a corner.
Delighted Gobern is getting the plaudits. Thought he showed a lot of promise after coming back from injury last term and is carrying that form on. For a lad who 18 months ago looked dead and buried at Town, he is now providing Robins with a pleasant selection headache with the likes of Hogg & Southern to return shortly.
Lets hope we kick on from here on in.

Forrest , QPR . We must have had the hardiest start to the season in the championship .
Agreed Loui. Maybe it's good for us that we've been thrown in at the deep end a little. Robins now knows these players are capable of performing against anyone in this division.
I still hope we bring in an extra centre back before the end of the window. If we can convince someone to buy Hunt for decent money then we can also get a right back who actually knows how to defend. Wouldn't that be strange?!
I don't rate hunt at all , never had, so i hope he goes too . They are very capable and they are looking a good side . 3 at the back seems to be working well too , but we did start well last season and then it all when wrong .
Last season 0-1, 1-1. Same this year. The 3rd result was a 2-0 win.
I've got a great feeling about the next match Wethers, two nil to Town! 😉
Just got home from sunny Spain.
Sounds like a great point today
Like a no b I pulled out all my plugs, so all my series links haven't recorded!
Looks like it's the Iplayer for me.

Am I surprised hydy? NO. It would be typical of Town tovock it all up now at Millwall.

Why did you pull the plugs out Hydy?!
I love the paranoia people go through when they leave their house for a concerted length of time! My missus is the same.
"We might get burgled"
"That could happen anytime love"
"Okay, what if there's an electrical fire?"
"Why do you think we pay home & contents every month?"
"A flood?"
"Sweetheart, get in the car"
That's the same brother who showed his driving licence to prove he was UNDER 16 to get into a Town match!
Darn isn't gonna be happy....Halifax 2-1 down at HT having been reduced to 9 men within 22 mins....keeper sent off too
The sent off keeper? None other than Matt Glennon
eF Cee Shaymen !
How unlucky can you get !
They had that one in the bag.
Then biased refereeing saw the result literally being taken away from them !
A 7th minute lead - & quite obviously the best goal of the match - It seemed to all who know about football, this one was a 'done deal'
But No.
The easily corrupted & from behind the scenes manipulated..ref put his plan into action
(poor shaymen )
1st he sends off the team Captain for a 'very' minor indiscretion, thus debilitating the whole structure & set up of the side. & gave a penalty when it was clearly 25mm outside the box ....I could see that from here !
Then how could he 'better' that !
Only by sending off the goal keeper
Super Matt Glennon. who I believe was constantly overlooked at Shudderz by way inferior Smithies & Bennett ? sent off for being 'the last man' ...
I think the bloke dived !
positives.
Cam Utd clearly missed plan 'B' in the 2nd half,
where 9 men held out & only conceded 3 in that time.
It's all UP UP UP from here on in.
2,700 !
Must have taken a full 48 seater & a mini bus
Robins showed us the way today (YesDay) in not being afraid one bit to GO FOR THE WIN ..
A manager I can think of (not that long ago) at the 60/70 mins mark would've gone all defensive, Sat back in his box Quivering n Shivering & Praying for some sorta draw which might eventually have given him some sort of Shabby Most Bore Draws in a Season record ..
No not Mark Robins .. He Sniffed/Sensed a Victory and Risked All with Forceful Attacking Substitutions .. Oh Such Enterprise .. Such Spirited Adventure .. Such Joy to my eyes ..
HELL let us be fair, it Could'a gone either way but Oh Boy do I give him CREDIT for having the balls to give it a go .. Keeping us all on the edge of our seats .. Entertaining Football to the very last minute ..
Dye know what guy's ~ it could catch on ..
