Sorry for spouting alot of sheet (not that there's many baggies on here to read it lately anyway) but there's alot of negativity regarding our transfer window but I personally can see alot of positives and can't wait for Saints on Saturday.
You would have thought that by now, Baggies would have realised that we do things without a fanfare and plastering it all over the news....but NO....there is still too many of us that just want to spend spend and spend!
Good news on Vydra....
@chrislepkowski
Vydra held talks and had medical today. Should sign over next day or so if all is ok #wba
Re: Sinclair #wba keen on loan, City want permanent. Compromise = 'loan-to-permanent'. MC want £2m loan fee + £4m next yr. More talks due
http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/west-brom-set-sign-striker-5698049
As reported previously, the player is extremely keen to move to The Hawthorns but the biggest sticking point were the actual terms between the two clubs.
City would have preferred to sell the player now while Albion only wanted to commit to a loan deal.
However, the clubs are trying to reach a compromise over a loan-to-permanent deal.
I understand City want a £2million loan fee now, with an extra £4million to be paid next year.
Albion are expected to seek lower fees and, while a deal has not yet been agreed, talks are continuing.
There is also an issue over how the payment of his wages will be split between the two cubs.
The Baggies would, ideally, like Sinclair on board before Saturday’s game against Southampton.
Vydra all but a Baggie then very very happy with this. Top finisher and a real exciting young player. I can see a typical Albion type success story with him.
Yacob Mulumbu
Sinclair Anelka Morrison
Vydra

Dorrans Morrison Vydra

Good good options
Yep, JH.
Things starting to fall into place as we knew it would...
Keep up with the 'sheet' JH, you're the one keeping this board ticking over in this quiet pre-season period! Especially when there's not much happening on the transfer front.
Think Vydra played 41 games for Watford last season, not 27. But we won't do better than signing the Championship Player of the Year, especially as he's only 21.
I think Udinese's figure of £10 million is pie in th sky though. Albion wouldn't be entering into a loan-to-permanent deal on the basis of that figure, and if he's really worth that much he'd be in the Udinese team or at West Ham by now! It'll be more like £3.75 million if Jeremy Peace is true to form.
The Telegraph confirms what Chris Lepkowski says about Scott Sinclair
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/west-bromwich-albion/10236605/West-Bromwich-Albion-close-in-on-Manchester-City-winger-Scott-Sinclair.html
Apparently, Sinclair's on just over £20k a week (£1.144m a year to be precise) so meeting part of his wages shouldn't be a problem, and after the good season we had last season, I don't think Jeremy Peace will risk upsetting Steve Clarke over a few quid here and there for what will be a really good addition to our squad.
But according to the Mirror, Sinclair's on £50k a week.
I am sure £50K per week is nearer the mark - does anybody earn £20K per week at City?
I am hoping for better from Rosenberg this year, Anelka has changed the dynamic at the club and I hope the Swede will benefit. Berahino looks a player but surely he is not ready for A PL season. I would expect him to go out to a decent championship side on loan.
Alouion, I'm going to chuck my job and get a job with Manchester City.
Cheers aries.
Try to keep the few on here up to day
Vydra is officially a Baggie
Just saw a picture of him with the shirt on twitter
Still no confirmation from the club but you don't get much more confirmed than that
He's flying straight off to Czezh Republic where he's on International duty
Don't stop posting Chit, JH.
can only repeat whats been said.
championship player of the year and not a risky signing as such.
Great signing and I don't believe for one minute that he was 3rd or 4th choice as has been suggested on another 'new' forum.
I reckon he has always been a priority target and we have been busy behind the scenes as usual getting this sorted.
Well done RG and the team...
vydra seems like a shane long type player
He's not.
He's alot more clinical and less of a 'workhorse'. Just as quick though and can play on the shoulder.

@WBAFCofficial: Albion have signed Udinese striker Matej Vydra (@vydra_92) on a season-long loan. http://t.co/nNcjIZTxAn
one thing i've noticed from youtube videos is that he's got a fair bit of pace on him. Should fit in with our counter attacking football.
Vydra is a very good player, ripped us apart twice last year clearly should be playing in the prem
you got a little gem here lads!
