Agree with Kanga. Ridgewell did nothing against Bologna to lose his place against Saints.
Don't agree with either of you on result - expect us to win 2-0.

Our fans seem to worry about signings.
Apart from Wanyama, who have Southampton got in?

Should probably make my own thread for this but it would only be short:

Who do you guys think will be the suprise package/underachiever this season?

I reckon:
Suprise Package: Cardiff City (can see in top 11)
Underachiever: Fulham (can see them bottom 5)

it is in topic because I don't think Southampton will do as well as a lot of people think they will do

could be the completely wrong way around but thats what I like about football

if you want to steal this question for your own, feel free JH.
Your experience over this long summer should put you in a position to compose a thread better than me.

perhaps a little bit premature with signings to be made but
I prefer to predict before a ball has been kicked.

No probs Kanga.

I think the surprise package will be Swansea. Although no real surprise as they are actually in Europe and have invested in some top talent. (I know it's a cop out answer but that my opinion)

Underachiever - Stoke and Sunderland. Di Canio is a nut and has practically signed a new entire squad. Only 1 or 2 actually impress me though. Formula for disaster. Stoke have a squad of battlers who only know how to play 1 way. Hughes will try to change this and their squad looks real weak on paper.

Think those 2 will be battling it out with the 3 promoted sides for the dreaded R spots.

Good to see my fellow Baggies on here

I see what you mean about Swansea they are prone to drop down the table quite a bit with a potentially busy european campaign. It will be a suprise if they can maintain a top half finish imo.
but you think they can do that, i see?

Stoke are in my bottom 3 as they are a lot of peoples, we play them last game of the season of course If you're giving free travel to away games or what have you, it seems desperate to me more than a kind gesture.

That amount of signings isn't going to help, Roy Keane did similar for them a couple seasons back. Didn't work out for him or the club. They are in my bottom 5 but they may just have enough.

I do yeh. I honestly don't think Europa will overly affect them. They have added to the size of their squad without losing any of the top stars they already had. They have goals in them from all over and 2 immense strikers, although one (Bony) unproven in this league. A top half finish and getting to the knock out stages of the Europa I reckon.

On the Stoke free travel....

Nice gesture from the club. But Stokes away record since they arrived in the PL is pathetic. They usually only win 1/2 away games per season. Usually vs us though

Heard good things about this Alex Poleuzo guy they've signed in particular. Canas and Amat can't be half bad either.
probably not 'suprise' was the word I meant there more of an 'achievement'.

I actually fancy us for another top 10.

No real surprise there though

Only Wanyama, who like Kanga said 'is a poor mans Mulumbu', is in all their starting line ups who wasn't in their team last year.

to the fraggle who said we have the worst attack in the league.
