How this bloke has got a job with the BBC I will never know. One of the worst pundits to listen to. He’s very similar to Vaughn if you listen to them on the radio, any time their views are challenged by a caller they trot out the “how many times did you play for England/Wales/in the Prem” card.
I reckon all the stuff he listed as things he done happened at the same club but he's just split them out over various headings to make him look like a hard man/idiot take your pick.
Savage wanted to move from Birmingham to be closer to his mother who lives in Wrexham. He moved to Blackburn which is....er......further away. Good excuse Sav!
Saw this earlier (not) Ulf. What a plank!
Cyp - you've inspired me, if I decide to go for a name it might be... Nulf!
Radio 5Live and TMS producers decided to widen the net and try to pinch some of the fish from Talk Sport's waters.
Tufnell (who is brilliant) did not fulfil the criteria of 'ladish oaf' that they were hoping for, but Vaughan is close enough - he is a parody of some jingoistic Sun reading white van man.
Savage is a classy guy isn't he?!
That is probably the deep routed problem.......to many did.
Norman Bates loved his mother
Who is trying to force a move? Someone on here, like who? Please God, let it be....
I think the worst thing about this is that the BBC have posted it. What a pointless article and a bad example for any younger players coming through. Although most of them will already know that savage is a twaČ› so it doesn't really matter
I thought the article was slightly tongue-in-cheek.
I quite like Savage as a pundit as he doesn't trot out the same platitudes as most ex-players. I think that he was an annoying dislikeable player and people can't see past that.
I disagree Rog.
He WAS an irritating, whining, annoying and not very good player.
However I can ignore that entirely and still come to the conclusion that he is an irritating, whining, annoying and not very good pundit.
