Forest don't talk to Newspapers.
However, they do have this.
You cannot fault what they are trying to do and that is deliver direct to the fans with nothing made up

Webbo is becoming a believer
Chill.. Bobby
It's about pulling together. Never said he isn't a bad manager but the way they are handling the press get's a big thumbs up.
This is about getting Forest promoted, not selling newspapers. Stuff 'em. There's 91 other clubs they can go and get an interview from
Bill is in the dressing room after the match, dissecting the game I would have thought.
It's nice to be top of the table even in August!
I'm sure Billy will get us promoted, he might even do it this year if he brings in at least one striker. Think what this squad could do with Harty's Marlon and Jonno up front or Harry Bassett's Campbell and Hooijdonck.
But when it comes to PR Davies (and Price) is a liability. He should get the PR team in from Team Beckham. They have made the world think he was a world class footballer and that she can draw dresses. Just think what they could do for our club.
This is the plan. He wants the media to hate us, or least he wants the fans and maybe the players to think they hate us. Siege mentality and all that.
I don't really care about any of it

Pi$$ off Ikeston!
We don't care what you think!
Also I think the press having a fit is quite funny! They are free to cover the team however they like, just that they aren't getting access because they slagged off the guy in charge. I'm involved with the media over in the states and I know damn well I'm not getting access to the Circuit of the Americas track (close to where I live) if I insult the track owners. It's just common sense. They did what they did and now they have to live with the consequences.
I know im abit late to the party, but damn.... not sure that could be any more lobsided article.
Since when did darlow get found out? It look some mcgoo magic to find the back of the net, past that he had everything covered.
Where did us hitting the post go? (didnt we hit it twice?)
Where did reids form disappear off to? He's be MOTM contender between now and watford and now he's simmering, hope he finds his form soon
When did watford stop getting hate cause they've just 'traded over' a whole other team rather than 'loaned' then?
When was it mandatory for post match interviews?
FAWAS OUT!!! RIDLEY FOR CEO
Think they wrote most of the report before the game as that was what they wanted (expected) to see. As it was we went toe to toe with one of the best sides in the league away from home and probably should have won.
It seems Billy has changed his tactics away and decided not to just avoid defeat but to try and win away from home, I see some cracking away days to come.
I think that if this was any other club you would see the situation differently. It's absurd to talk of the press having some sort of vendetta against Forest, in fact the reverse is generally true - because of Clough there is a warmth towards Forest, OK occasionally a bit patronising maybe (the little club that won the European Cup, etc) but nonetheless most journalists are positive in principle. Sometimes we read Forest posters stating "everyone loves Forest" but now it's "everyone hates Forest". It isn't Forest that journalists have a problem with but the current regime and its way of doing things.
On Radio 5 at the weekend Forest were described as a "ticking time bomb". Annoying the press is fine and dandy while things are going well, but there will be more difficult times and this is when a good relationship with local journalists can be very helpful. If they have been treated with contempt by the club they are more likely to stir the pot a bit. Rumours then start about discontent and you're on a slippery slope.
At its best it's ill-considered and pointless, but it seems more like pettiness. We have had similar situations at Derby in the past, well-known and respected journalists getting banned from the ground for the crime of asking questions. It never ends well and is not the sign of the all-pervading happiness that Fawaz likes to project.
Newspapers sell because of their articles. The problem is they do not always print the truth.
By keeping them out they have to print what they see or hear on the net. Therefore, they cannot twist an article they they have been part of as a direct interview.
If they want info from the club they can get it off the official site and follow other links on their to player/manager interviews.
Meanwhile the team can get on with what we all want and concentrate on doing their best to get it.
"By keeping them out they have to print what they see or hear on the net. Therefore, they cannot twist an article they they have been part of as a direct interview.

Surely you can't really believe this, Webbo? By "keeping them out" without the ability to question directly they have no choice but to make it up or to print rumour. Saying "they can get it off the official site"!!!!!!! Whatever happened to a free press? Are you saying that what Forest fans want is to be spoon-fed "official" interviews confirming how fabulous everything is? If you were talking about, say, a country which refused journalistic access but said it didn't matter because all necessary information would be available through official channels, would that be OK? Wouldn't it make you just a teensy bit suspicious that it might have something too hide?
I would like the team to concentrate on football. Not keeping a newspaper alive.
Take a look at some of the so called proffessional ex players and their opinions.
Here's one from Kenny Burns
He says Halford would find transition from Centre back to forward harder than the other way round.
This maybe so. But he said this after Halford had just put in a MotM performance.
We do not need the NEP. Sky did an interview with Reid straight after the game. Ned Kelly also did an interview.
Interviews are still happening independent to teh official site.
Go and worry about your own club. I'm happy with mine
The thread is about Forest's press policy, not Derby County, Webbo. I notice that your approach mirrors your club, not wanting to answer any awkward questions. It's ludicrous to claim that this is in some way about trying to "protect" the players and allow them to concentrate on the football.
What questions is the club afraid of? The most likely candidate is Price, given that this edict came from "higher management". He remains suspended from practising as a solicitor while investigations continue into the alleged misuse of clients' money, very serious allegations that could carry a jail term as well as permanent loss of livelihood. It was bizarre that Forest hired him under such circumstances in the first place, gave him a position of such power in the club, and now it's media blackout time.
Nope, not suspicious at all. "Protecting the players"
Good
It's great not to hear the same old drivel from Davies at the end of a game.
I really do not care if Radio Nottingham do not get their interview. I really do not care if the NEP do not have access to the players.
I go to games and enjoy so called "expert opinion" about the game after a match and not having to hear Billy Davies actually is quite refreshing
At the end of the day. The players are doing it on the pitch at the moment and long may it continue
It's the way Billy works. He has to fight someone. He's getting what he wants off Fawaz so he's fallen out with the media.
I don't buy the "won't get asked the hard questions" thing because people in football just don't answer them or lie.
It's not ideal but I'm no fan of the media

The statement about freedom of press is a complete nonsense. Billy and Nottingham Forest are not a country genius!!
They are independent entities, entitled to whatever privacy they see fit. They aren't a government and as such their coverage is not "essential" to life. These facts are obvious to anyone with a primary education (but evidently that is a concept maybe too complex for you lastapostle, a bit like explaining algebra to a canine).
Second,
No one at NFFC is telling the press what or how to write, just limiting access to someone that is both biased and dishonest in their coverage. You cannot publicly insult and slander a manager (and owner) of a private entity and expect the same level access. It's basic common sense for God's sakes! What's even more surprising is that this concept is so far over the Post's journalist's heads, that they continue to talk disparagingly about Billy and the team (during a period the squad is playing really good looking football), while at the same time demanding more access!
Third,
The idea that the club is not talking to the fans is also a complete farce, perpetuated by the press. I have personally asked Jim Price and Billy questions through the "bird site" and received responses from the gaffer and his agent myself. I found their answers to be both honest and informative. So as I fan, that lives on the other end of the planet, I have to say my access to the team has never been better!
In summation lastapostle,
You are confused and obscenely biased. We are fine. We don't care what you think!
Good points Tricky?
Also what's your twitter as don't have the bird feed and could do with you sending a question in on my behalf on Friday?
Why did i put a question mark next to points?
