We simply can't let him go without a replacement.

Hes been replaced by Zaha

No one is reporting it except a betting shop, it's nothing. We simply can't let him go unless a replacement is in line, and it's way too late in the window.

dont panic, we dont need a replacement , we are getting Baines, he is good enough to do evra's job and nani's

I've never understood this Juve link. Juve don't play with wingers.

What's that Asamoah chap? Thought he's a winger

I think these betting shops need reigning in. Especially SkyBet, surely there is a huge problem there... Sky Sports can leak a story to influence betting patterns.

It might be too late for a replacement with us not being linked with any wingers. I hope Moyes realizes that lack of width was clearly a big negative of last season.

They play wingbacks, Arab.

Can you see Nani being used as a wingback? No chance.

Oh right.. And no chance

I have no problems if Zaha gets games ahead of Valencia/Young. At least he will be a change. However we all know he is not going to get too many minutes this season.

Although Nani is decent at tracking back, regardless.

By the way the same link says that Tevez to Juventus was also paid by Paddy power 10 days before the official transfer. So it is not all smoke.

posted on 29/8/13

Well luckily the transfer window closes in 4 days then!!

I hope he is injured enough to not clear a medical at Juve

Yeah he is a lot better defensively than he is given credit for, however, playing as a wingback is a different thing altogether.

I'd be very surprised if he went to Juve. Been saying that all summer. I think he'll end up staying with us.

Having worked for a bookies in the past, I can tell you that there is a huge chance that this is just a publicity stunt. The chances are that the liability of paying out on Nani joining Juve will have been a few thousand pounds - which is a pittance in relation to the amount of media coverage that it has earned the bookies. Paddy Power are excellent when it comes to marketing their business.

Makes sense - Tell everyone you've paid out on a bet that very few people will have placed. Get people to place a ton more bets on other potential transfers that have decent ish odds because they assume PP are ITK.

Was it Paddy Power who paid out on us winning the league in 2012?

"Was it Paddy Power who paid out on us winning the league in 2012?"

Pretty sure that was betfred?

posted on 29/8/13

But doesn't it harm their credibility for future? Paying early for a transfer that doesn't happen will only make them look stupid later on.

No one will remember it by January.

It was BetFred that paid out on us winning.
