I think its a decent signing, can't hurt having a guy who is nearly 6ft 5" in midfield, especially when we come up against the likes of Yaya. Its a nice option to have and I think he will do well.

I just wish the papers would talk about his footballing ability rather than his hair

I'm already looking forward to seeing how he gets on, he could very well take his game up a notch or two... and he could also be a wildcard, in Europe.

Best to remember that usually the most vocal critics on here on the ones with very little insight. They just want galactico signings and Barca style football, god knows what they get out of "supporting" UTD

I actually think Fellaini playing could give us a further option of playing kagawa as an attacking midfielder rather than an outright number 10 making us not have to be overly reliant on having to play carrick in every game

Just a layman's view though obviously

I wrote an article a while back about the options Fellaini might bring, including him taking over Carrick's place, occasionally:

I think Fellaini and Clevs/Ando would offer us a new dimension, with a bit more drive. Of course, I fully expect Carrick to play plenty of games and rate him as one of the best CMs in the league.

OP, nice post!

JiSung,
Just read your old article. Interesting that Rooney doesn't appear in those formations. He does complicate matters, doesn't he, as he isn't as effective as the alternatives if we want the person in that position to function partly as the third point in midfield.
