Englands Greatest limited over batsman of all time, the Saffer british Pietersen and the Greatest Finisher of all time, the Irish Morgan are in the crease together.
Hope still.
UH,
But u have to admit though looking at the way Root burst into the international scene, his adaptability in the order, brilliant ODI series in NZ, his young age, even the high praise he got from the bullish Virat Kohli, that he was going to be a Great.
Was it all fluke? Like how they call it in Snooker!!
Great platform for Ravinder Singh to show he can bat against non-minnows too.
It proves Australia are not any minnow side.
this is not a 110-5 wicket.. packing the team with batsmen and still failing.. what a joke..
Still a record 6th partnership here will see England comfortably home.
England were in a similar situation 3 days ago.
Keep your finger crosd
All england need now is a career best score for morgan and a maiden ton for another batsman.
Exactly what was required the last time around and duly delivered.
Look at the average of Butler.
A tailender would be ashamed of that.
What are these two doing? Singles aren't enough at this stage. Gotta give it some welly to have any chance
Of current batsmen, Amla Scores around 50+ runs per match. ABDV and Kohli 40+, pietersen, cook, morgan 30+
poor Butler a breathtaking 9 runs per match.
well kharse lets see how many runs Kohli gets in England next year in the test matches.. he will be made to look useless.
They should bring back Richard Blakey
This really has been a miserable effort from us with both the ball and the bat. Poor poor poor all round. Yes we are missing key players but this doesn't make this type of performance acceptable.
We better improve considerably for Wednesday. Trott, Root get in the bloody nets.
Stokes is nothing more than a spare part in this team. Not remotely good enough to be a bowler and batting way too low down the batting order.
Kash
Agreed about Stokes too, seen him a number of times and he's not ready to be an international regular IMO. Would like to see Onions play instead.
England,
i dont think so.
He's already the best young batsman in world cricket in all format.
Last time he was in england, he scored a brilliant hundred in ODIs.
He already has 15 ODI century, not any english batsman in the entire history of the game has ventured in that league. And he's achieved all this at the mere age of 24!!!
All the evidence, technique, temperament, track record suggests that he will be a success in every condition.
he was trash in the test series against England in India. hes no chance in England..
I remember when India last came to England with the supposed "best batting line up in the world" with Sehwag,Gambhir,Tendulkar,Laxman,Yuvraj,Reina,Dhoni
England 4-0 India
Then Kohli, Pujara and co, "the rising stars of international cricket" last summer.
India 1-2 England
5-0 Next Year, can't wait
OH and Dravid too, ofcourse, pretty much the only one of those batsman to get into double figures in any innings that series
How trasher then ,by your logic, were Cook, trott, prior and co at home recently?
Will they be useless too?
