Rather have Beckham on the pitch then Milner

I think Lampard is a de facto #10!

Oh great another #10 at Chelsea.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Lambert does against good oppo.

Last season he was excellent away to City. I wonder if he can do that tonight.

Cole bombing forward rarely actually leads to anything. He's not that great going forward.

I think Baines should have been played if Milner is gonna start. Roy doesn't have the balls to drop the big names for these games though.

baines will come on for cole 2nd half.

Roy dropped Lampard for the Montenegro game and played Carrick and Cleverley!

dropping 1 player to field 2 others. Roy breaking the rules already

Carrick and Cleverley have to play with their legs tied together?

Cole is crap going forward. Raises his game for the big games for Chelsea defensively.

Also I don't mind Milner. He's someone who any top team in the PL could utilise as a useful squad player.

Hoping the experience of our team will play a part in getting a positive result tonight, just really wish th approach to the game was more positive.

And he's certainly a better option than Welbeck

Though Carrick and Cleverley is as good as a 3 legged man playing on his own

COME ON ENGLAND!

Not quite sure why anyone has a problem with Wellbeck playing for England, he has a better goal scoring ratio than Henry had for France.

Welbeck is brilliant for england, he may have no skill but its the goals that count

A commentary on Sport.ua website says: "Many will say that the strength of the England team is exaggerated. It's true, most English clubs rely on imported players, and the British school of football cannot boast anything like the sort of harvest the Netherlands, France or Germany produce every year. But a team that everyone overestimates couldn't possibly reach the play-offs in virtually all tournaments and achieve results there."

Cole is good at moving forward but very rarely does anything.

He is always available for a pass that's it.

Baines actually makes something happen in the final third, and defends as well as anyone these days too.

He should have been in the team for the last 18 months or so.

Ashley Cole has been great for England, but Baines is now better than him.

It's time for Walcott to pull his socks up and put in a good performance in an important game.

Crouch has an amazing goal scoring record for England too, should he be in the team too then?

posted on 10/9/13

Your point? I couldn't care less, Crouch also has a better record for England than Henry did for France, both Welbeck and Crouch aren't fit to lace Henry's boots.

3 of his goals were also in friendlies, and the other 3 against San Marino and Moldova. Welbeck > Henry

posted on 10/9/13

put it this way

Welbeck scored 2 PL goals last season and then was played CF for England

YOu can bet your bottom dollar that if lambert fails to score in 1 game he will be dropped regardless of club form

.......................

Not any more, but you couldnyt fault his record when he was in the team.

What time is the KO?

posted on 10/9/13

I never understood why he wasn't played more, he was always a pain for defenders to play against and got the goals.

I don't even know why you compared Thierry Henry to Welbeck. What a stupid comparison.
