To fund Bale, don't think even Madrid could justify losing 85m on one player, not to mention the other purchases.

rumours are Bale's going to be making his Madrid debut playing at LB

Ozil has fitness problems
he wont cope with the physical demands of the EPL

I think the best way to judge the sale of Ozil, isn't to listen to clueless pundits like McNulty or Lawrenson, isn't to listen to some of the Spurs fans on here saying he was surplus to requirements, it IS to listen to the Real Madrid fans.

Look at that poll where 80% of them said they'd rather of kept Ozil and not bought Bale. Says it all.

It is an amusing way to look at it, Real Madrid got the player they had been chasing all summer, Spurs got a world record fee for their player and who came out of the situation best? Arsenal.

why did it take to the last day of the window?

posted on 13/9/13

Because Madrid didn't sell Bale until a day before. Do you even watch football?

No I just come on to football forums to wind idiots like you up

Spurs n Madrid agreed the Bale transfer weeks before deadline day, hence the reasomn Spurs spent all the money

Ozil got offered to United 3 weeks before Arsenal bought him

Chris do you not think that the same could be said of Lamela as 90% Roma fans didn't want him to leave

posted on 13/9/13

Pretty much. No chance that Lamela was surplus to requirements.

Ozil will be a hit in the PL he's way too god a player not to be, might take a bit of time for him to get up speed but Arsenal have plenty of other players who can come on for him and do a good job.

It's great to have a player like him in the PL, the better quality of players spread across as many teams as possible makes for better viewing for all of us.

Kneerash with a positive comment about Arsenal?!?!

I think the only problems Ozil faces is the physicality of the division and if he can just notch up his fitness a level then he'd be a perfect fit. Very much a technical division is La Liga, not so much the PL.

I dont usually post regarding Knappyrash even after all his negativity but I had to do a double take on this myself!

When Barca had an interest in Bale is was too play left back, but they decided Alba was both the better LB and was a fraction of the cost.

Wouldn't be all that shocked if Real played him at LB every now and again considering the current standard of the two truely awful ones they have.

posted on 13/9/13

Yeah they broke to world record on a player to put him at left back no chance!
