Where does this leave canelo

Because he got totally outclassed

When that happens its not easy to come back from unlike a knockout

Liw, it's the other way around...

Good wee article on the situation and its evident both sides were to blame for the fight to happening. As I said, both were wanting things their own way and neither were willing to concede anything. Just their egos that got in the way.

As for Canelo he can go on to win more titles. He just came up against a far better and more experienced boxer this morning

Kamran

Disagree mate

Any fighter can get knocked out

And alot come back

But when you get totally outclassed, it can destroy a fighter

surprised me that canelo didnt take more chances, and was seemingly scared of mayweather's punch power..

canelo is facking huge to fight at light middle, and the fact is he never made his extra size and strength count at all..

Inexperience I think pekster.

Just hadn't been in that position before so didn't know what to do or how to change it

I hope he comes back strong because came across as a likeable guy

pekster

Canelo doesn't fight at a high pace, and his stamina is not that great, if he went out too hard early on, he would have nothing left in the second half of the fight, doesn't help being weight drained as well

posted on 15/9/13

Think Canelo should look to go up to middleweight at 160lbs. He is a big lad naturally and has had trouble getting the weight off unless he drains himself.

The middleweight is a strong division with the likes of GGG, Martinez, Chavez Jr, Barker, Murray etc.

At Jr Middle he has Floyd at top with the likes of Cotto and Trout as options. Middleweight is a much better division to aim for.

Floyd may beat Canelo, but Golovkin will beat him up

posted on 15/9/13

At 160, GGG would KO him and Sergio would do to him what Floyd done, but far worse. Floyd beat him, but Sergio would BEAT HIM UP.

D4 beat me to it

posted on 15/9/13

If it's the Martinez that laboured to a win against Murray then he has a chance. Dodgy knee these days and getting close to 40 means Martinez may not be the same fighter anymore.

Canelo will beat Barker but I agree GGG will smash him.

D4 do you like Roger and Mayweather Sr? They always make me laugh in their interviews I think they're alright

posted on 15/9/13

so canelo at middleweight would be a 2nd string fighter to the likes of martinez and GGG

posted on 15/9/13

yeah peks

Kash, Sergio would do to Canelo what he did to Chavez jr

Remember when the Philippines were fighting the US soldiers? They were shooting them mother*****s with 45s. And 45s were bouncing off their mother*****ng a $$. They weren't even dying!" -- Roger Mayweather

Crazy guy, but there are a few loons that believe the **** that comes out of his mouth.

The Mayweathers thought Pacquiao was bullet proof, that is why they ducked

so should canelo stay at light mid ? and just try to make the weight ?

would this be his best option to become a number one fighter (after mayweather retires) ?

posted on 15/9/13

Pek, Canelo has nothing left to do at 154. Floyd is the king, Cotto is washed up and Trout is his victim. The option to be a 2 weight world champion is there and yes GGG is the top boxer in that division but anyone else is there for the taking.

Kamran, Sergio 2 years ago would have done what Floyd did yesterday but age and injuries are catching up.

Canelo is too big, he is still growing, he had to kill himself to make 152lbs.

He may fight at 154lbs a couple more time but the move to middleweight will happen within 18 months.

Canelo was hyped up for the Floyd fight, he is around the top 20 mark p4p.

posted on 15/9/13

He should stay at 154 for now peks, but he's gonna have to move up to 160 sooner or later

posted on 15/9/13

i'd love mayweather to risk moving up to middle weight to fight GGG

and see the smug get mashed up

posted on 15/9/13

he wouldn't even risk fighting GGG at 154 let alone 160

He didn't even want to fight Canelo at 154

posted on 15/9/13

if mayweather pigged on ice cream and fought pekster at 170lbs...he'd get battered..FACT
