I think Floyd is waiting till Martinez hits his 40s then he will be ripe for the pickings
RGK
Arguello has a valid claim but for me Floyd is the king at 130.
Martinez has never been in Floyd's class, never.
Well the division only really started in the 1980s and was never that popular.
Martinez has 2 fights left in him, one for when he returns from injury and his last for when he fights GGG
Shame he's gonna retire with a brutal KO, he's one of my favourites
Floyd said he would only fight Martinez at 150lbs.
Maybe he wanted Sergio to cut off an arm

I can't believe how people who call themselves boxing fans give Mayweather such a pasting when he's clearly one of the greatest boxers to have graced the game, and I'd have to say the best defensive boxer ever.
They've got such a hard-on for Pacquaio that any common sense immediately jumps ship from their brains.
I myself think Mayweather is a cocky basturd, but he can back it up. And for those who say he cherry picks opponents, eh.. It's a business, and he's a businessman and promoter.
When you have the opportunity to dictate who you fight, how much for, and the conditions of the fight then of course you are. Every fighter takes what little advantages they can. It's gone on in boxing as long boxing has been here.
Boxing champions should seek to fight the toughest battle at their weight class.
Floyd has not done this since Castillo
Is it true that Floyd fought Canelo last night with a dislocated elbow?
Pretty sure it was Pacquiao that got put to sleep by a near 40 year old.

no. he wouldn't be able to move his arm if he had a dislocated elbow
Boxing champions should seek to fight the toughest battle at their weight class.

Or be the undisputed catchweight world champion like Pacquiao.
Or was he cherry picking?

If Floyd said it, it probably wasn't true

I agree with most of what you say but Rocky Marciano is remembered for having his 0.
He did not always fight the best.
can't remember comment on that, I've only seen one Marciano fight on youtube, he was way before my time and I haven't really looked into his fights. don't have an opinion on him
fair enough
would you say Calzaghe was remembered for his 0?
or is Calzaghe remembered for Carl Froch hanging on to his coat tails
Bar Pacquiao he has fought the best fighters.
Calzaghe is remember as a great, for me anyway. would've been class if he fought ward before calling it a day
RGK, at 147, Manny is the only one who has a realistic chance of beating him. At 154, he hasn't fought Martinez.
These are fighters who would cause him problems. I'm not saying they would definitely beat him, but they would definitely have a chance, and Floyd isn't taking that risk.
I agree Kamran. I thought Calzaghe was top drawer.
Just wondering what some people's opinion was on him with regards to him calling it a day which I think was the correct decision.
Would hate to have seen him do a Roy Jones Jr.
Martinez has said numerous times he'd come down to 154 to fight Floyd
He said the same about Pacquiao but I dont see anyone saying pacquiao avoided Martinez.
