Dortmund are Sixes and Sevens set pieces

Dortmund are solid from set pieces, they've got Subotic and Hummels who are solid in the air, as well as Lewandowski, Bender and Piszczek who are also handy.

But they're also very GOOD at a lot of other things. And since when did we look a threat from set pieces?

Kamran its often more about organisation than personnel I feel, which is why we are so awful at it.

Kamran, Subotic is average I don't know if you watched the game against Hamburger he was to blame for those two goals yesterday. But with Lewa, Reus, Aubameyaung, we are in for tough one.

Not really Crouchy, if you've got a bunch of giraffes and 6'5 thugs in your team, you're not gonna concede from set pieces no matter how organised you are, cos you'll win everything that comes your way in the air.

Organisation helps for a team like us, but it's not gonna make a difference if a good ball is put into the box and we let one in. Against a team like West Ham or Stoke, even a good ball is gonna be defended.

The Dortmund matches will be amazing. End to end stuff.

'Tis a shame I won't be able to fully enjoy it.

not relevant.....we don't score from set pieces

Subotic is far from average, but that's not the point anyway. I'm saying he's solid in the air, no two ways about it.

Reus is a must, open the wallet Wenger and don't wait for Bayern, Chelsea or Madrid get it done now, Özil, Matersacker and Podolski should tap him, we have big chance unless Gaz mess up.

posted on 15/9/13

Reus is not a must. We need a striker and utility defender more than anything.

posted on 15/9/13

Kamran, Reus is what we need full stop, I would rather we get him than waste money on Suarez or Rooney or any other striker, we should deny rivals from touching Reus, he will be the last piece in a puzzle, I have man crash on that boy

posted on 15/9/13

So we should sign him because you've got a man crush on him and not because we actually need him? Sounds logical.

Would you be so kind to ask "RamseyBergkampÖzilOxshere (U16250)" see the Dortmund article above why he filtered me?

IMO Dortmund's main weak link is Marcel Schmelzer at LB. Very suspect defensively, if, and it's a very big if, Walcott is on song against him, he could have a field day.

not in that way my friend, I meant he belongs to us period, I can't bear watching him go to rivals with our new found German roots..

Blogs car, now you're spot on, LB is weaklings, but set pieces is one big gaping hole, I hope Özil can deliver deadly crosses for the big French Man.

Juergen Klopp, tap him too when Wenger goes upstairs coz I can't see Roman tolerating that Portuguese choir boy.

Still don't understand why we didn't go for Aubameyaung!? He'd have been great for us.
