Agree tatter, Stearman would be my choice out of the three.

My choice would be;

Ikeme
Doherty, Batth, Stearman, Ricketts
Sigurdarson, Davis, McDonald, Sako
Doyle, Griffiths

That’s a five man defence Tara with wingbacks.

A three man defence (as I read Cinci’s suggestion) would be...

Stearman Batth Ricketts

...with no room for Goldbourne or Doherty.
To counter attacks down our left Ricketts would become the LB and Ishmail (or whoever the winger was would fill in at RB) for attacks down our right Sako would fill in as LB.
Disaster.

In a five man defence as you have it we would rely on Goldbourne & Doherty to give us the width we need.

My thinking DJ is that Evans & Davis were both below par on Saturday. Davis was below par in his preferred position if not system and Evans was poor in a less familiar role so I’d give Evans the nod. No biggy though as long as we play 4-4-2 we should have enough to make Saturday look like a blip.

Tatts

In a Morecambe vs Previn style.

Its all the right players..............just not necessarily in the right order.

That's is the problem, we wouldn't really solve the midfield issue as we would likely have our current full backs as he wide players.
DJs line up is probably our best 11 but doesn't really solve the problem of using siggy out wide

For me, same personnel but 4-3-3

Some good impact subs as well with Ismail and Evans and or mcalinden, cassidy.

Blimey, how many clubs do you have? I knew there were different clubs for different situations but didn't realise there was quite such a variety.

I don't have any it's a stupid game. Next stop for these is e-Bay.

Oh and I think the technical term is "sticks" rather than "clubs".

Golf rackets. It IS a stupid game. That said, I woke up this morning another year closer to the sixty and seventy year olds it is designed for and felt one year closer to wanting to play it. Then I remembered I don't need a stick to walk and golf isn't a real sport and arranged a game of five a side for Wednesday.

I'm well into your prime golfing age Ulf but as I have no desire to be a social climber and possess both a spine and a chin you wont see me arsé-licking down the local golf club.
