Di Canio sacked - that's not going to help our cause. The black cat will be a wounded animal ready to snap.
Will Kevin Ball be able to repair the damage before tomorrow night?
Both north east team will be playing north of the river
Depends on the river, GA.
Tomorrow's game should be a tense one. Anything could happen. Hoping, however, that Tomlin will increase his tally as top-scorer in the competition so far.
Tuesday's arrived.
Good luck to the Posh and support, and enjoy your night at the Stadium of Light.
3-2 to the Posh?
The Black Cats 6-1 The Posh is my prediction, because we never keep 'clean sheets'
Mind you . . . . I'm never right, so your guess will probably be more accurate
. . . . and yes, you should made reference to the River Wear
'you should have' I mean't
Swindon fan in peace.
Good luck to the underdog (that's Posh), should be an interesting game to put it mildly.
The Black Cats have done the right thing in getting shot of Canioman, who could start a fight in an empty room. With a decent appointment (di Matteo?) can be well as the season's fairly young yet.
My ream have an easy one, home to Chelsea. Fifty years ago, almost to the day, I saw us beat Tommy Docherty's team 3-0. I'd take 1-0 tonight though!
GA, ah yes the mighty Wear. May the best team win tonight, and may your players bring back some hope into the hearts of the Sunderland faithful. I'll bed listening to Radio Cambridgeshire tonight. Employed, but broke, so unable to travel.
Don, the best of luck tonight. It would be fantastic if you were to beat Chelsea and humble the "Special" one. I'll be listening out for your score on the radio. Broke, so can't afford SKY.
Tomlin injured and off after 11 minutes
1-0 to the Black Cats who are well on top. We'll need to score next, or we're scuppered. Trouble is, Tomlin's out of it.
1-0 at half-time. It'll be interesting see what Fergie's half-time talk will do. Early equaliser needed.
Tommy Rowe off now injured - not good for the Rotherham game.
Let's go for a consolation goal.
2-0. Sunderland too good for Posh in the first half. A heartening result for their fans.
As for the Posh, the main thing is that Tomlin and Rowe recover for the Rotherham game.
Hope the injuries aren't too serious!
Cruciate ligament damage was the rumour, SirKen. On the other hand, Posh are taking ex-Poshie Paul Taylor back on a short-term loan from Ipswich. If he plays to his potential (and can overcome his demons), Taylor will make a good proactive replacement.
P.S. In retrospect Sunderland's Ki Sung-Yeung nobbled Posh's danger man on Tuesday night. If he hadn't been fouled, the result might have been different.
