If United continue their decline Rooney will be for the taking, Suarez isn't cup-tied too. Both of these can play alongside and instead of Giroud and are adapted to this league
A) Yes
B) Suarez. He's realistic, because we were actually in for him.
Personally I think Michu is the most realistic one.
Could play instead of Giroud when necessary, or in a deeper role.
Think we could get him for £20m in Jan also.
And before any pool fan pops up and laughs at my suggestion, i've got one thing to say to you....

I think if Liverpool continue their current form, of 'outside title challengers', then I can't see them selling or Suarez pushing for a move.
Rooney would be my choice.
Not sure if either United or Liverpool would be willing to part ways with a player mid-way through a season.
Suarez would come to us 100%
Unfortunatly Liverpool wouldn't sell.
If United continue their current form, I can see Rooney moving in January, definitely.
I've changed my mind about Suarez, don't want him. Think we've got perfect harmony in the squad at the moment, don't want to risk that at all.
Benzema. And he would be a replacement for Pod, imo, who is bound to leave in the summer.
Diego Costa from Atletico, Jackson Martinez from Porto, or if we are going cheaper Vela from Sociedad or Ederson from Atletico Paranaense.
You can have Suarez
For 80 million plus 1 pound
Martinez won't be available. And we won't meet his release.
Deigo Costa is a very big deal in Spain and more than likely will go to Madrid to replace Benzema.

Why do you think Podolski is set to leave? I think when he returns from injury he's going to become a vital part of our side.
Why won't we meet his release? £35m is not a lot for a striker.
Wenger laughs at £35m. Pocket change.
Why do you think Podolski is set to leave?
------------------------
Pod won't be a starter. I think Wenger will go with Santi-Ozil-Theo as he did with Santi-Rosicky-Theo last year. He likes having one on goal and one creative.
So I think Pod will play brilliantly for us this year so that he gets into the WC squad and use it to move afterwards. His agent was looking at clubs last summer but is on too much money not to go to a descent size club.
Don't think Wenger will ever be convinced he has the stamina to play a full season.
Think you could be right about Pod. It just didnt work out as well as I expected with him. A great player and the youngest ever to reach 100 german caps, but doesnt quite fit into our system.
Id still like to see a fit Pod given a chance to show what he can do at cf before we replace him. He has the potential to be better than Giroud imo and last season when he had just joined us and was carrying a niggling injury dont warrant making a decision.
£35m is not a lot for a striker.
-------------------
Benzema will cost a lot less. Especially if the crowd continue to get on his back.
Martinez will mean Giroud will be automatically no.2 Wenger won't go with it. Benzema can play wide like Pod or up front and Blanc is trying to fit Giroud/Benzema together for France. Makes a lot of sense imo, if the fans force him out at Madrid.
Realistic names only please

And then people say Suarez and Rooney.
I agree with the thinking that Wenger won't go for an out and out that can only replace Giroud rather than play with him.
Someone such as Rooney or Suarez is better in this regard.

Benzema is the most over rated fool ever. Cant score for France and cant even score for Madrid.
Then you said Madrid will sign Diego Costa as Benzema replacement. Why in the blue moon would althetico Madrid sell him and to Real of all teams?
Podolski is going nowhere and id rather have him then Benzema.
Forget Suarez/Rooney. Liverpool will not sell to us. And neither will Man Utd now that we are challenging. They will give a truck load of money to Rooney to stay after the team is performing so dismally. He is Man Utd's best player. Or they will sell to PSG if Rooney refuses to stay.
I would rather we play Podolski than Theo against lesser teams. Against deep defences Theo is a waste of time. Podolski scores out of nothing. Against big boys Theo gets space so I'd play him then.
I say we go all out for Reus in the summer.
There is no chance Suarez will be sold to Arsenal.
