Someone told me this morning that we have only sold 1200 tickets ? We must have sold more than that for a match over the hill.

1200 that's poor if true.

Any Train Info?

A lot of Fans will be heading over on that form of Transport too!

I would go for McCombe and Cooper again in defence, but no way is Clarke gonna be dropped!

That front four looks good, bit three of them seem to be wingers, unless your putting Mcdermott in just behind Novak! This to me leaves a huge gap in Midfield which can be exploited!

you can fool some of the people all the time, etc etc etc..

lots on holiday, time of the year, financial commitments etc etc..

lots of excuses, sorry reasons why we havent sold out like last season..

the "i believe" gang has just got smaller...the away gang who go whatever, will be there, the hangers on and good timers may not..

the only thing "i believe" is that it will probably rain.. i have no idea what lee clark or the team will turn up and do.. i suspect neither has he..

I hope the mid week win has lifted spirits following the weekend and the performances then and in training will have highlighted a good team to go with. With the number of permutations that we can have I fear that it may be a number of games before we find a solid match winning team and formation. However we may, and I hope, stumble across it/LC figures it out sooner.

I do believe he will go with 1 up front and after pre season and Tuesday night I strongly feel Novak deserves to start. Also Gobern, Hunt and Robert are a dead cert for me, the others I don't have a clue about!

I think we have the quality to win it, but going from last years performance and the uncertainty of what is our winning team I believe it'll be a 2-1 score line to the mighty Terriers.

it just reflects the mood..

there was a time you didnt know what you were gonna get with town.. you do now..especially in the league, apparently home and away now...

suppose if we had played rochdale away later last season we would probably have got a gritty draw.. maybe thats the total sum of the aims for lee clark this season??

lets hope not..

i travel(but not far this weekend) in hope...

Week last tuesday, 26th, town website said 900 had been sold, and I've since heard that was 1800...and that was several days ago too...With 3,800 available it's more like there are 1,200 LEFT, not SOLD...

At match on saturday it was anounced around 2000 had been sold.

Train info updated on article.

port vale was ok.. another poor start though.. and a bit of a couldnt give a sh-t end to the game..

as far as im concerned, its a wait and see what team he picks and how we start..

im just worried it will be a re run of last season where games are not won simply because we dont try hard enough to win them..if thats the case then there will be too many dropped points.. i know the away record was excellent but you know my feelings on quite a number of the home/away performances..

taking a draw instead of going for the win cost us and it will be the same this year.. you just dont want to see town waste long periods of games and then produce just enough to get a point..

I just want a decent match to watch - entertaining matches were few and far between last season despite the unbeaten run!

Good preview BB, not a clue on team selection but will go 4-1 to us with Novak to be on the scoresheet again

Jacko - That sounds a bit more believable ( 1200 left )
My gang are going on the train via Brighouse at 11ish, The team will be whichever names Clarky draws from the hat to suit his 451 formation.
If we see another "too scared to lose to go for a win" setup and a bore draw with little entertainment we may end up going into Rochdale to do a bit of looting and pillferring, Its as good an excuse as the other mobs have used recently !
Gonna be taking orders after the game, Usual fare, Trainers, Trackies, and with the change of season upon us maybe some nice ski jackets,
I will be at the pie shop half time awaiting your wish lists.

brycey..
looting in rochdale???
you will end up with a few broken video recorders and a pair of "slightly used gola trainers"....
remember to get your hair done for the cctv!!!!

posted on 11/8/11

Oh well forget about looting in Dale then, Probably wait till i get back home and smash up the co-op at Golcar and terrorise the old folks homes residents, I will only get a smack on the wrists and i can tell the magistrates i was caught up in the mass hysteria currently sweeping the country and that i have been left mentally affected by Clarkys tactics,
Result permitting of course.

ha ha Bryce, your a Golcar lad then, I thought I recognised your rotweiler attitude to dix on here.
That's my neck o the woods too. I was brought up not too far from the oldies home me sen. I might even know ya.

Anyway with regards to rioting, I recomend getting off the train in Hebden Bridge, theres plenty of cheese & wine shops to loot...

My team for Sat..
442

Bennett
Hunt..Clark..Cooper..Naysmith
Roberts..Gobern..McDermot..Ward
Rhodes..Novak

LC won't pick this team in a month o Sundays, but I reckon Rochdale will shat their pants when they see this team running at 'em..

posted on 11/8/11

Don't think Miller has done owt wrong to warrant being dropped. But if the formation is going to changed to 442 the above team seems ok,but we all know it won't be that 433/451 seems to be Clarks preferred gameplan these days.

Myth - Hebden Bridge would be a decent spot to refresh on way home but it is a bit of a stroll to the boozers,
Saying that we could be really unpolitically correct and have a mass brawl with the resident Les Bee Annes where we would probably be outnumbered and badly beaten as there are more that resemble Geoff Capes than there are Kate Moss.
Sowerby Bdge will defo be a stop off on way home, Its always good and always full of crumpet whatever the result.
